Let's start talking about the bugs. I haven't had any performance problem so far and just minor visual bugs.
The game is amazing. Night City feels like a real city full of life and it feels almost like a character. The story, the voice acting, everything it's phenomenal. I even dropped a tear with this game.
Give CD Projekt a couple of week to solve the problems but as a game is everything I expected and more. I'm excited to see what Night City has to offer in the future.
I'm going to give this 4.5 stars as it's an excellent game and just needs a few tweaks here and there to get 5 stars.
Graphics are excellent and very immersive - there's so much to see so it's worth taking the time to look around. You can see that so much hard work has gone into this, The sound is great too and really adds to the immersion.
I'm running it on an i5 7600K, Win 10, 16GB DDR 4 and a 1070 ti and have no stuttering and everything runs on a mix of high/ultra detail. There's a preset in my Nvidia panel that fines tunes the graphics and I'm going to give that a try next.
I've not had any system crashes or problems other than some scenery clipping in one scene. The only other problem is that I'd hoped the play on my TV using my steam link box but it doesn't recognise my wireless keyboard and mouse when plugged into the steam box - I got around that by using my wireless keyboard and mouse while the dongle was still attached to the PC.
I'm very impressed so far and it can only get better. Thank you CDPR!
I guess I'm lucky, I'm 20h in but only got 2 minor immersion-breaking bugs (both pretty funny, but bugs nonetheless).
I'm surprised that the game is gorgeous on medium and runs really well on my RX590. That aside, it's the first time I feel like I'm actually role-playing, very close to the feeling I have while playing VR games.
I have never ever felt like walking from one place to another in GTA or Skyrim, but here, I'm always finding something to look at or to do when I go from point A to point B without rushing.
This is the most immersion I ever felt in a game, the World feels real like I've never seen before.
Pen and paper elements still go to Divinity and the Larian team, but, for a more streamlined experience, and much more immersive due to the World detail and 1st person view, you can't get much better than CyberPunk, and the upcoming Bethesda/Bioware games have a pretty steep standard to meet after Witcher 3 and CyberPunk set the bar really high (in my opinion).
Also, I love the combat, I went as a Netrunner?! Hacker?! and wow, it's just fun, I feel like I'm playing a futuristic Hitman game, first I access the situation, check how many enemies, breach in and weaken them, then kill them one by one until I'm found out or they're all dead. It's a really fun loop for me.
The game is not perfect (bugs aside), but it's a pretty solid 9/10. I seriously want to play it again as soon as I turn it off... It has been a really long time since I felt like this when playing a game.
Everything feels intense. The game has not disappointed me and keeps impressing me at every corner.
The game has bugs. duh. and I'm not excusing them, especially for people it's really affecting. but so far I find it negligible. and I've been playing since launch on a 1060 6gb. I saw a tree through Jackie's head. and even after the first patch saw a random dude fly across the screen from a high building. and the thing with some of the controls, naming one would be the 'c' key. ended up skipping the intro cutscene with Jackie. had to look it up on YouTube to see what I missed. so dumb.
even so. I'm really enjoying the game. so far, since the beginning, the story has been getting more and more engaging. gameplay is miles and miles and kilometers greater than the first witcher game. lol. maybe that's not saying much. game is kind of easy though, glad I had it set on hard difficulty. looking forward to going deeper and enjoying more. with a build up like this, story better get better, or I'll be coming back to lower the score.
score is missing a star because the interactions with the bystanders are a little... crap. they are by no means a focus in the game but it'd be nice to have better and more responsive interaction with the nobodies in nightcity. right now they're just walking obstacles; pointless fillers.
All in all, good game so far. feel bad for peeps that can't enjoy it, but life in nightcity goes on.
