An incredible story. Must play.

CDPR has created something incredibly special here. The story is phenomenal. I'm not done yet, but it is rare for a video game story to captivate me quite like this. This review will remain spoiler free, but suffice to say I have definitely been hit in the feels a few times in my first 20 hours of play. To get a few things out of the way: 1. Yes there are some bugs. 2. No, none of them are game breaking 3. No, I don't find them distracting With that said, this game is alive and I am living in Night City. V is a great character and my choices really do matter. Quite a lot actually. It's even apparent when I don't do things and outcomes would have been different/better/worse if I had. The story is what truly shines. It's a slow burn with massive payoffs. This is not a story you sprint through. The narative truly comes to life if you give it the time and explore its depth. If you were expecting another GTA clone where you can dick around doing whatever you want, honestly this isn't the game for you. While there are PLENTY of side quests and smaller activities to complete, I would not call this a sandbox. It's an RPG at it's core and heck is it a beautiful thing to behold. The graphics are amazing as well. I love Bladerunner and have been wanting to experience a universe like it on my own terms for quite some time. This is it. CDPR has created a phenomenal open world that has rich character development. From dark, empty nights in the wasteland, to bustling mid-day city centers the world is alive. If you're on the fence about this game due to the negativity online, and you are a fan of dysetopian sci-fi and like RPGs, I urge you to give it the chance it deserves. I know this is a glowing review, but I really love what I've played so far and hope others get to enjoy it too.

Great Game on an EPIC scale

So far the game just started. And you know it is demanding. For your CPU for your GPU and more. The game automatically downscales your Graphics if need be. Lazy loads everything it doesn't need right now to ensure you still have a smooth frame rate. The details in many aspects of the game are very rich. Hair cars people signboards the weather. The scale of the game is nearly too big. Before you know what you should select for your character it is already too late and you chose something unrelated. It is on an even more epic scale than gta. But not like watchdogs. It is better. Driving still feels different. Could be better. More diverse or even faster cars would be appreciated. Still the story is great. The characters are empathic not like the crazy trevor from gta. The few bugs I still see will be resolved in the future. So who cares if they still find some bugs. Save often save early. At least it will be resolved. If not I will look forward until the first mods come out. :)

Best campaign histoy in long time

To be honest i was expecting a cluster fuck of this game. But the detail the put into the game history and stories is actually amaizing. After 80 hours of playing this game it does not stop to amaze me. Sure they are some bugs glitches but the over all product to me at least worth the money. This games offer you many possibilities on how you decided to approach an objective. Also the dialogs are tailored depending on you-re character and skills. In resume this is a grate game to enjoy for main story and side quests.

Well-worth the 8-year long wait!

I wasn't going to drop my review before I beat the game for the first time, but seeing how this is getting treated, i want to give you guys my 2 cents. Graphics is not something I ever cared about in a game, and even I have to mention the visuals - they're astonishing, speaking of both design and just the graphics. Night City looks vibrant, big, mind-blowingly detailed and hand-crafted, and most importantly, natural, as in, it feels like a possible place somewhere in our future. The quality of this world and the objects within is equally high and great. For a First-Person Role-Playing game, the story feels actually unique, can't recall anything like that before, and I've beaten a lot of various titles since 00s. Do yourself a favour and try not to spoil anything for yourself - it is interesting, it is high-octane and it is touching. Side-quests feel equally great because they have you doing a variety of things. Types of quests and playstyle apparently depend on the person giving you the quest, its type and, well, your own choices! In some quests, for example, you need to free a person from captivity, but some of these are rewarded higher if you raise no alert; may depend on a quest and a fixer, and you won't feel forced to go sneaky-beaky, no worries there. Graphical preset is at HIGH/ULTRA. Having my CPU below minimum specs, my RAM below recommended specs, and GTX 1080 as a GPU, I haven't suffered much. The performance is fine for the most part, but due to my weaker-than-desired configuration, highly crowded areas may give me a drop, but again, the settings are high at 1080p fullscreen. Bugs are there, but are not game-breaking or terrible, or at least they weren't to me. We're told to have patches in the following months, so that's barely an inconvenience at all. Can't believe I finally get to play it, enjoying every single second of it!

Incredible but needs a lot more polish

I’ve never played a game that has got me more in the feels, from rocking as Johnny in V’s body, Jackie dying the virtual character I got attached to, music playing with Panam and the vets by a campfire, and many more just like the song Kerry playing with Johnny Sliverhand just laying on his back Chilling 10/10
