Cyberpunk 2077

Didn't thought I'd like the game. I'm not a big fan of the Cyberpunk universe and I'm more of a fantasy than SF guy. But then I tried the game (waited 2 weeks after release for some patches). Now that I'm deep into it, I can clearly say that the game is amazing and is, right now, the best open world RPG you can find even with it's flaws (because yes, it has flaws). What's not that good : - Bugs : Yes, there's some (I guess). I have a 4 years old PC with the very minimal required graphic card. I have 60+ hours of play and I had ZERO blocking bug. Yes I had some minor bugs like a clipping weapon or something. But being a The Elder Scrolls serie fan, I'm just laughing at how people are taking this too seriously. - Keybinding : Yes there's some keys you can't rebind and some weird choices (like the alt double tap to sheathe your weapon while the alt single tap choose the next weapon). But anyone can search 10 seconds on google or on the Nexus and fix this problem either by modifying the keybind xml file or find a mod giving access to the rebind of those keys. - The open world is a bit flat and empty in my opinion (talking about interactions). - The sound effects aren't that good for weapons. What's good : - The combat system is the best you can currently find in an open world RPG. Really simple but the job's done. - The narration (including dialogs) is top notch. Especially with Johnny which is quite normal but also with the quest characters. - The staging is also the best you can find in an open world RPG. In the end, I think many people were deceived because they had impossible expectations for the game or they took the game for what it's not (no, it's not a GTA like, in fact, the game is far closer to an Elder Scrolls game in terms of gameplay mecanics). I know I won't play it for 500+ hours like I did for Skyrim right now. But I hope I will be able to with extensions and mods.

This game is a joy to play. The city is gorgeous, the quests and dialog are rich, the gameplay is so fun. Don't read any reviews, just play the damn game. This game has captivated me like no game has in many years. There is so much to do, and each side quest is not pointless, but carefully and wonderfully written. Fantastic and would recommend to anyone

I upgraded my PC part by part (so the delays helped a bit in my case), so I could play the game on ultra settings and enjoy it at its best. I really liked the game as a whole. Night City is just phenomenal, an amazing architectural creation far exceeding my boldest expectation. Every part of the city is just so thematically unique. The only let down here was the bad AI of the population, their movement, the lack of proper interaction with them and mostly the non-existent AI of the police force. The police just spawns where you commit a crime and that is it. But the most annoying thing is you just have to run or drive away and they will quickly "forget" about you. This leaves a ridiculous feeling, when you are playing in a so densely packed city. The gunplay although not bad, left a lot to be desired. The guns are not much diverse, not that I was expecting Borderlands3-level of variety, but come on. The crafting system and the cyberware augmentations are good, although I hope in the next DLCs and expansions they deliver more cyberware and more mods (and hopefully more type of guns). The skills and perks system is quite good in my opinion. I played through the whole game with pistols and stealth, so I invested most points upgrading my pistol+stealth perks, and at the end of the game I was literally unstopabble. Maybe a little rebalance would not be a bad idea, because the game got really boring when the only thing I was doing were one shot kills all the time. The main story was good enough to keep me interested. Some of the side quests were just another "type" of fetch quests, but most of them were really good. The Panam quest line and its culmination are just phenomenal storytelling, maybe one of the best I have ever played in any game. I am really looking to replay the game after the big updates land. Love you CDPR, I have faith that you will iron out all the bugs and messy features and bring me many more hours with this amazing game.

This game is so incredibly broken and unoptimized that it is insane. I can run Red Dead Redemption 2 just fine at >60fps, but I can't even stay at 30 with EVERYTHING on the lowest setting in this game. This should not be allowed, how can they get away with this?

Hands down my favourite game ever. Sure it launched with a plethora of bugs especially on console but we were spared from them somewhat on PC. CDPR are on a the No Mans Sky path of redemption with constant updates and bug fixes. The story is gripping and on of the best story lines in any game I have played. Choices really do matter here, the combat is fluid and The open world is lively and immersive. you don't play as your own fully custom character (but you do customise how you look) but even as a predetermined character you can truly make V your own. I have never really replayed a game more than once but between GOG and Steam I have played through this game 3 times for all 3 life paths. I can wholeheartedly recommend this game.
