Thank you CD Projkt for this Game I Love it. It's a great feeling driving through the city, listening to the radio and looking forward to the next, insanly well written sidequest, not to talk about the mainquests.
Thank you Guys for your hard Work and the great Game!
So, at the moment of writing i've played around 60 hours, but in all due honesty haven't completed whole game yet. Nevertheless i believe i can give my penny for the game.
This is, despite all those negativities floating around, one of the best experience you can ask for nowadays. There' s great detail added to whole world and objects alike, absolutely fantastic characters and stories build to complete the experience and interesting places to visit. However, calling this game an RPG is a bit misleading, depending what you're expecting for that. In a sense of multiple conversation branches and therefore different outcomes? Not really. The text is so well written however that i didn't mind this. I've gone through emotional rollercoasters with characters and stories told. I simply have loved my stay so far and i'm definitely starting another round with different playstyle and character after finishing current run.
I would call this game as adventure FPS with rpg elements, with some best written story possible to unfold if you're just ready to invest and involve yourself enough for this beauty. Definitely wishing all the best for this games future.
Overall not bad, not the best, but time just flew past and got a 70h experience that you don't get a lot these days.
The game is an RPG but not as deep as Bethesda or Bioware game, it is open world like GTA but doesn't quite feel alive like it and the world is filled as tightly as any Ubisoft game. It is cinematic, at times rivalling Red Dead Redemption 2 and immersive but brought down by occasional bug and AI that still needs a lot of work.
Personally the bug count was not that high, but crowd, enemy and especially police AI need a lot more work.
Performance for me was withing limits, keeping in mind that the world is very dense unlike open, near empty fields of fantasy RPGs.
After AI gets some more work on it would be a 5/5 but rigt now its between 4-5 but with plans for a big patch lets give it a 5!
None of the bugs I encountered were game breaking, just annoying. I want to make it clear here.
Oddly enough the true star of CP2077 is not its story, which alone is very good, if a bit short - a balancing act of struggle between V's own survival and helping others. The real stars shining on Night City's sky are the city itself and main characters that occupy it.
The design of the megacity is just stunning and rather than being wide and flat as in most other productions it shoots up through the multiple levels of vertical climb where not once I got lost between the levels trying to find my way around it. It feels natural - just like the dark crime infested city of the far future should.
It's the characters however that give life to the monolith of this place. They are varied, interesting and most of all give off that hard to explain but easy to feel when experienced vibe of fitting in. And no, I'm not talking about flat random NPCs but those that V has real interactions with. They can range from being rough and tough gang members to insecure, delicate and wounded angels amongst depravity of the dark city - in short they seem real.
The side quests design seems similar to that of Witcher 3, you find something or someone somewhere and it opens up a chain of interactions that may vary from few minutes long activities to long, couple of in-game days or weeks chains of tasks and events. I really liked the fact that most of those could be completed in various ways either through talking, fighting, stealth or hacking. It promotes different character builds for different outcomes.
Random quests are not as good but they seem to be there just for the level grind. They're not bad but nothing to write home about.
The only thing that really grinded my gears was the police that seemed to posses the magical ability to appear out of nowhere behind your back and was much bigger issue taking me out of the in-game World than the bugs ever did.
9/10 - WILL play again.
