Cyberpunk 2077

I dont know what is all the fuss about bugs I'm hearing about. I found no blocker bugs. I cannot complain about the interface/gameplay that is overly fluid and logical to me. Unlike RDR2 for instance, or Fallout 76/4 that is still has the same unusable interface since a decade of earlier games. Granted, the environment isn't has rich as the Witcher series: it should not come as a surprise to anyone that actually read the books; it is not an obvious and easy task to invent something so deep. Maybe they spent too much time on stuff that should not matters so much and no enough on some others. Maybe they should have avoided the mass advertisement. But it is still a very good game, one that all players I personally know are still playing after many hours, which you cannot say for many expected releases this year (CK3, Empire of Sins, etc, also heavily advertised and clearly not delivering the goods, or even THe Outer Worlds, not bad but not captivating either).

barely finished a prolog,the whole thing went dark and that's when i decided i can't play like this anymore. i asked for a refund a week ago, and there is no reply. I'm not just asking for refund asap, but there gotta be some reply or what so ever right?

One of my favourite game of the year. The city is amazing !

The game needs a lot of polishing, like, a lot. But still... I'm having all the fun I was expecting to have from it. I am probably one of the few people that didn't encounter annoying or gamebreaking glitches in my almost 90 hours of gameplay. The most notable one was my character teleporting like 2 blocks away after trying to climb a wall but still, it was more funny than annoying. I'm really liking the story so far and I'm really liking the characters. The voice acting aspect, the facial modelling, and the animations (when the game is doing everything correctly) are amazing. It still pains me tho, the state in which the game was released, especially for the console folks. It pains me that I still can enjoy this product knowing that there are people who just can't because of the technical aspects. I like the way the side missions can connect with the main story and every time I interact with them they feel alive. All in all, the truth is that for me this game is freaking enjoyable and I'm not expecting to stop for at least another 90 hours more doing all the stuff there is to do and exploring the city which is goddam beautifully crafted.

At time of writing (24-12-2020) it needs a bit more polish, but no doubt with CDPRs history that will come over the next year or two. Patches are already coming along nicely, looking forward to DLCs (fingers crossed, MOOOOOAR!) Playing it on a laptop with the following specs: CPU 9th Gen' Core I7 9750H 4.5ghz, GPU NVidia Geforce GTX 1650, VRAM 4gb GDDR5, RAM Corsair Vengeance 32gb (2x16gb Dual Channel) DDR4 2666mhz, M.2 NVME 256gb + Dell 512gb SSDs' (both Internal) Playing with a screen resolution of 1366x768 full screen, I have a solid 60fps with no dips in performance. Due to having a Laptop GPU GTX 1650, which is not as good as a Desktop GTX 1650, I have to play with graphics settings Low-Medium .. But the laptop is not overheating through many hours of continuous play, and performance is smooth. Hoping they give us settings for Anti-Aliasing, because at time of writing you cant change anything to do with AA. Which is weird as the game does have a comprehensive set of settings otherwise. Good storyline, love the Hacking, Body/Armour/Weapon mods, the Braindance editor when investigating scenes is a really useful tool. Its a Dystopian RPG that feels like a cross between Far Cry, Fallout New Vegas and Johnny Mnemonic mixed in. Although the driving of vehicles with Mouse and Keyboard is not as polished as with Far Cry, wish I could drive cars / bikes like the NPCs/AI can. Overall: Really enjoying the game, a bit subjective but for me it does have that "Just got to do the next bit before saving .." taking you through to hours in the morning when sensible people will be fast asleep :) .. Don't play if you have work the next morning.
