A classic re-interpretated.
Crow country is a great love letter not only to surival horror of old, but the jrpg art style that grew up with it. Not only did I fall into a deep trance with its shooting, art, story, and user friendly hints, but I finished the entire game without meaning to, in a single sitting. IF you were intrested in the new era of survival horror, Crow Country is the best starting point imo.

Everything it needs to be
This game is exactly what it looks like, in a good way. You're getting a well-made ?isometric? survival horror game with a runtime that fits into a weekend. Modest replay value and plenty of secrets to find. Satisfying writing and ending, with a plot that feels like it began life as Blood Money's "Death of a Showman" mission. Disclaimer, that though I have tried many of the classic games Crow Country takes inspiration from, none of those have really stuck for me, and I never finished any of them. Crow Country does seem to have a lot of friction points and rough edges ground off, leading to me actually finishing this one.

Pretty well done but so short!
I just wish it wasn't so short! 4-5 hours goes by too quick. Even the easier Resident Evils usually last you about 8, maybe more if you stink at em. fortunately bought this on sale. pretty good all around. story wise was very well done. I am a sucker for the fixed camera angles in horror games but the controls are pretty comfy with a controller. Mouse and keyboard not so much, but that added difficulty might increase your challenge and runtime so consider that.
