Chinese language support! - Crossroads Inn turned out to be an indie hit on Chinese market and along with Anniversary Edition lands a Chinese (simplified) version of the game!
:
Among the most significant improvements to the base game Anniversary Edition will offer::
New Pathfinding & AI - no more blocking on stairs, no more horses trying to reach stables through Inn’s main hall;)
Engine Performance - A lot of performance-related issues will be eliminated by upgrading the game’s Esenthel engine to its latest version. We have joined forces with Greg Slazinski, a creator of the engine. Big thanks, Greg!
UI & Tutorial - Crossroads Inn is not an easy game, especially for beginners. This is why devs are now working on an extensive help system that includes better UI, loads of tips available through loading screens, innkeeper journal, and in-game tutorials.
Crossroads Inn is a real-time management sim with RPG elements. The game consists of two unique modes offering totally different experiences.
In Sandbox mode gamers will focus solely on managing their business and economy – to build their very own tavern, hire and oversee staff, manage the supply chains and create new dish recipes. In Campaign mode, micromanagement is just a prelude to a rich story as the kingdom is in turmoil and a shift of power is expected. Your Inn will soon attract the attention of important political and military figures, who are desperately trying to hold on to the reins of power. Gamers will become part of a large-scale drama full of political intrigues, vivid characters, treacherous NPC’s and dangerous quests inspired by RPG games – You will even have a damsel in distress to save!
A List Of Features Includes:
Real-time management sim and RPG in one!
Two distinct game modes: an epic Campaign mode with a non-linear story (12 different endings!) and nearly endless Sandbox mode dedicated to hardcore sim fans
A rich and detailed lore with feuding factions and powerful organizations – choose to forge alliances or work against others in an original low fantasy setting
A complex tavern economy simulation with various groups of customers, special guests, unique and regular employees, dozens of resources and facilities to build and develop - all binded together with a network of reliances
Expanded in-game culinary recipes along with a fully developed nutritional system created to influence relationships with different guests and fractions
Extensive in-game editor that allows to fully modify game and to create your own campaigns, scenarios and adventures with access to all game assets

I ran into the “workers won’t clean” bug in the tutorial.
Where the main hall must get cleaned to continue on.
After searching online, I found two things. First, that this is a common bug with several possible solutions, none of which work for everyone and none has worked for me.
The other is that the developer promised to fix this particular bug back in 2022, right before they stopped posting responses on forums.
So little explanations, so many things to find out. And when you`re done with the tutorial and start your Inn again from scratch, the first time I select "more information" in the menu, the game freezes and I have to restart my computer.
Nope. I would have liked it, I know that, but I`m done with games which freeze while your doing ... nothing, but what you just have to do.
It`s sad, because it looks very nice, but a game from 2019 should not crash while doing something completely normal in the course of playing. An IF it crashes, you shouldn`t have to restart your machine.
It's buggy and just barely working. I am excited to see what it's going to be when it's ready, but this was not ready for release. You guys jumped the gun...
I'm going to spew a lot of hate all over this game and moreso its so-called "developers", so if you're a nancy little tyke or the like that can't stand someone ragging on something that's objectively horrible, don't bother continuing to read this review.
Now that that's done with, let's get to the verbal spanking!
This "game" is by far the worst game I've played in recent years. Granted, I'm a savvy gamer/customer/general human being and I rarely if ever buy things that I suspect will be at all horrible, but hoo-boy this one took me by surprise! I mean, WOW! We're talking Guinness World Records level of "wasted potential" and "most immature responses to well-deserved criticism" here!
Let's start with the tutorial. Oh, wait... there isn't any. Now normally I'd concede to there being a *general possibility* that the so-called "devs" have patched that in like other devs have done for their respective games, such as Volcanoids, Subnautica, etc., but given that there are issues in this game that've persisted for about a year now... yeah. Let's be honest, they haven't fixed that.
Bugs? Check. Got plenty of 'em in this mess. Hell, if you're looking to get a game which you yourself can set a Guinness World Record of quitting out of from perfectly justifiable sheer disgust and revulsion over its unplayable state of utter cringe-inducing bugginess and unreliability, then go ahead. Buy it, play it for 10-15 minutes (if you can even manage that, really) and then refund it like any sane person would.
But I think what I hate the most about this garbage is the so-called "developers". They have here a nearly unique concept for a game that in the hands of competent game designers would possibly be on the level of Surviving Mars in terms of depth and enjoyability, but they've completely wasted it by not just ignoring but even contemptfully telling people off for complaining about the game's bugginess!
In closing, I'll never buy ANYTHING from these so-called "devs" again. EVER.
