Description
In pagan times, the legends of Camelot were told as epic tales full of faith. Bold, colorful and often brutal, these tales survived the ages. They were a tribute to the legendary High King of Britain who managed to bring the warring tribes of Saxons, Celts, Angles Jutes under one rule and bring about a rebirth of Western civilisation.
Sadly, in the last half century, the Arthur legend has been recast as a cartoon and children's story. The mystic rituals and dark passions that colored the original Arthurian legends have been watered down to the soft and toothless fairy tales most commonly seen today.
With Conquest of Camelot, designer Christy Marx has dug deep into the most ancient roots of legend to restore the power and passion of King Arthur and his court: his queen's forbidden love for Sir Launcelot; the struggle for supremacy between Christianity and the ancient Roman warrior-god Mithra. The blending of myth, history and religion behind the Gail legend is dealt with honestly and directly.
This combination of pre-Medieval history and ancient legend makes for a more sophisticated, complex and powerful view of Arthur than any you may have seen before.

King Arthur Quest
Sierra should be commended for trying their hand at something different and developing an SCI adventure based on Arthurian legend (with Monty Python references to boot). Generally logical puzzles, mini-games and riddles also make the game more straight-forward than previous Sierra adventures but there are times where there is no hint whatsoever on how to solve puzzles and it seems like trial and error is the only solution.

Childhood nostalgia run amok
Not known to some of today's generation, this was the pinnacle of gaming in the 80's. We knew nothing more. and we had plenty of fun with it. Special thanks to Sierra Games, their developers, creators, and software engineers. Your impact upon my life was perhaps one of the most meaningful. Character defining sometimes even. Sometimes it still is because now I get to show my kids where all their games came from. The evolution of it all. Sometimes they think our games are a little lame, but its what we knew. They will understand, when they get our age.

Old Gold
I was waiting on GOG to release this one. Bought it as soon as I saw it and loved it. I played this all the time as a kid and it was one of those games that I always remembered. This is a classic that will live forever. Thanks GOG!
