This is a really fun game but it's not perfect. I loved it and playing through it is a blast but there are downsides such as the mechanics of some sections not being explained all that well, and you will figure them out through trial and error which is fine but it would be nice had the game gone just a little further to help you out. I tried the demo of this a little while before buying and that annoying mechanic was in the demo so I wasn't too bothered when it showed up in the main game.
Overall I would say give this game a try it's not too bad, just it has it's quirks.
As if a Sci-Fi Novel turned its pages into a heroic game.
Only thing missing is a hub area for the protagonist to "hang out".
The flight controls are more arcade but fun to navigate around very easily.
The dogfights can get very tense and you get the feeling the controls are made exactly right.
I had a great experience so far and I must say, this game deserves its 5 stars +
I'm enjoying Chorus. I don't have any flight accessories so a sci fi space action game with mouse and KB is perfect for me.
I find the main character whispering (I'm assuming it is her thoughts being shown to the player) sort of annoying.
Visually really good. Fun once you get the drift maneuver. And some really great music. The horn section when you are in frantic space combat... awesome!
This game has a lot of potential. What holds it back from being truly exceptional is the lack of depth in its story. The narrative feels thin, making it hard to connect with either character, especially the main protagonist. Without emotional investment or meaningful development, the story struggles to elevate the gameplay experience.
That said, the gameplay itself is enjoyable. While it can feel repetitive at times, the ship upgrade system is intuitive and rewarding. Each enhancement genuinely improves performance, and with enough effort, your ship begins to feel nearly invincible. I do wish there were more upgrade slots available, but I suppose that limitation adds to the challenge and forces more strategic choices.
Overall, this is a good game with strong mechanics and a satisfying progression system. With a more immersive and emotionally engaging story, it could easily rise to greatness. Here’s hoping future updates or sequels build on this solid foundation.
