Description
From Julian Gollop, the designer of the original, award-winning XCOM game comes Chaos Reborn - a fast paced, turn-based wizard combat with the tactical positioning of chess and the bluffing / odds calculation of poker.

WARNING - superb RNG management skills required! Or just have fun.

You play the role of a fighting wizard armed with a selection of spells and magical staff. Some spells summon creatures but others are more exotic, such as the Gooey Blob which spreads uncontrollably across the terrain. The balance between Law and Chaos can be altered to your advantage, or you can cast illusions to deceive your adversaries. It’s a game of bluff, tactics, and calculated risks with nail-biting decisions from one turn to the next.

  • Turn based wizard tactics for 1-4 players
  • Multiplayer battles with live or asynchronous play and monthly league competion
  • Offline Realm Quest Campaign, and online single-player Realm Quests created by players, with co-op vs AI and invading other players’ realms.

Revisiting a Classic

A remake of the classic Chaos by Julian Gollop, wizards take to the battlefield using spells and turn based tactics to beat each other. Top game and works great on Linux Mint 17(64 bit) :-)

Only multiplayer

Campaign is pretty trash. Apparently multiplayer is good but screw other people. You can get one shotted. Randomly. Throughout the game. *shrug* It's pretty dumb.

Problems with running on Macs

Can't run it in on two different Macs. It just disappears from the system after installation. If you're a Mac user, I'd recommend not to buy it :(

No 64-bit executable for GOG but it's available for Steam. It's unacceptable for me :)

I cannot complete the 1st mission.

It's simply too difficult, too random. It's 2 vs me and they have support. It's not doable, I just do not have patience to try anymore until RNG finally rolls in my favor.
