Realistic. That means less fun.

This game is the second "best" thing after war. Your squad faces difficult missions. Your supplies are limited. Your men are not immortal. You're trained to do one thing and do it well: You pin down your enemy and you flank them. They die and you move on to deal with more. In a sense, the fights are indeed repetitive. You stick to tactics that works. Sniping covered enemy will just not work and you will have to charge them or flank them. It's not exactly what the most fun-and-action bull**** shooters give you, but in exchange for your patience, the game will reward you with real story, real people and real warfare. The story is linear (did I mention real story?), the combats are repetitive (that's how they were fought) and your options are kind of limited (it's hard to reason with germans). You are presented with the same tactic dilemma. But you're progressing through the game steadily, although some encounters require more thinking and trying than others. Pleasant memory of the better days of Ubisoft.

gtx 970 4k Fov changes - See INI Infos

This game was so good when I was young. I remember that I ve played it on a CRT monitor. 4k works great. Only the intro with dev names is small. I think the combat is better than the second game BUT I currently rage quit through the PS2 game, maybe its just the down scaled gameplay ?! QUOTE FROM PC Gaming Wiki Edit User.ini[3] Go to %APPDATA%\Gearbox Software\Brothers In Arms\\ Open user.ini. Define FoV in following lines: DesiredFOV=63.000000 DefaultFOV=63.000000 Notes Game could start to randomly reset those values. If so, edit those values in \system\DefUser.ini too. QUOTE ENDS also make it read-only please. I love the game. Its nearly as good as MOH Allied Assault and better than COD 1 in my own opinion.

Relive childhood trauma.

Do you remember as a kid when you played shootouts and the other kids refused to accept getting hit, well now you can relive that experience, because most of the time it's a dice roll if your shot counts as a hit or not, even if you're sitting still with no swaying and this applies at basically every range. It's a similar deal with your allies -- if you don't give them orders to shoot at a specific target they'll just sit around refusing to return fire and get killed half the time. And when you do give them a command to shoot the enemy or move a specific point they MAY do what you want within the next few weeks. And the machine guns are sometimes gonna insta kill you at certain ranges even when you've snuck around to the side so you come from what's at the edge of their peripheral vision at best. This is probably the most frustrating game I've ever played. I would not recommend this to anyone. If you want something tactical with a somewhat competent AI and proper commands -- go buy SWAT 4 instead.

Very good tactical action war game

Played earned in blood before. Earned in blood has better graphics, more action and faults, road to hill was more polished. I found both games excellent at all. I played on normal difficulty which was hard enough. The atmosphere, graphics and sound system is very nice. Giving orders to friendly soldiers works. The levels are more or less linear like corridors, often you have to find the right way to beat the game. There is a lot of variety in the missions, you have to attack or to defend special locations or sometimes there are tanks included on both sides. It feels like fighting in a war as an infanteryman. The battle overview map was superfluos. I didn't use it, because it made no sense. There a lot of cineatic vids to narrate a story like the typcial war movie. I started to hate the military leader of the protagonist in the szenes: do this, do that, he would give cover. The typical pencil pusher, but that is realistic like loosing own soldiers. I wouldn't play this game again on harder level. Technically the game runs smooth, I didn't have a crash or other faults on windows 10 64 BIT. Most of the game was fun, I don't want to rebate a star.

It Takes Patience, but It's Worth It!

You are not going to be scoring headshots and brute forcing your way through this game. Your enemy is going to hide a LOT, always outnumber you and usually have superior firepower. Luckily you have a squad! The squad mechanics are great fun and although they don't always function quite right (a few A.I hiccups and pathfinding issues) there is very little as satisfying as outmaneuvering an enemy placement with two squads, one to pin the enemy and the other to flank and destroy them. The graphics are still charming. Somewhat low resolution but it runs great on practically any computer and there's plenty of character in the movement of characters and the landscapes. Story is familiar but entertaining and feels authentic. No sugar coating war here. Diverse scenarios, the game save at generous checkpoints, music is soaring and somber. If you've ever wanted to play a war movie this is the experience, huddling against cover, shouting commands, and fighting along side your team...just to get to that next checkpoint.
