The best adventure game I have played
This is the definition of a gem and is the best adventure game I have played with Longest Journey coming a close second. The immersion and story were very well done. Revolution Software puts out great games.

One of the best adventures ever!
To this day I still regularly play Broken Sword 1. Why? Because of the story, the characters, the graphics and the puzzles. You cannot help but being pulled into the adventure. The Director's Cut adds a few elements without actually leaving out anything - except maybe that the beginning is now a little slower that originally intended. Still, the Nico-episodes add a certain depth to the character which I think is ultimately a more than matching trade to the slow beginning.

Excellent revisit!
I think the original gets a 4/5 as it hasn't aged perfectly. But this version tidies up the artwork, gives more content and adds a hint system. Overall, very effective.

Pretty good
I had heard of this game a long time ago, but never played it until now. It's your standard classic point-and-click adventure. The story is interesting with the history of ancient groups and powers. The puzzles are good and there are a decent amount of hints in the dialogue directing you to where you should go, or what you should do next. There was none of that combine-every-conceivable-object garbage that's found in other, lazier games, for the record. Most, if not all of the solutions actually made sense. The cartoon style graphics aren't my favorite, but I can't fault the game for that. Visually, the game is satisfying. Characters are very stereotypical, but not so much as to be insufferable. Anyway, if you're a fan of classic adventure games, you'll like this.
