This one is pretty good, I recommend it if you like the first to games. I only wish Nico got more to do, as over 90% of the time we play as George. And we get an epilog this time, unlike the previous game in the series.
After very disappointng BS3 ( and slightly less disappointing BS4 ) 5th instalment in series is finaly a return to form for Revolution Softwere, a classic point & click adventure.
Again Gorge and Nico will embark upon adventure with potencialy world-ending consequences, and meet plenty of quirky characters, both new and old. And it is a decently long game, for me it took 9 and half hours to beat, wich for P&C is not that bad of a milage.
There even will be run in with Strobbart's bane, the goat :) . Twice :D
So wht not 5 stars ? Well, 2 things, graphics and puzzels.
Backgrounds are beautifull, but characters themselfs are just 3d models painted up to look like classic hand drawn. It's especialy visible in rather limited number of animations, for example if you show other character item, game will never show it in Gorge/Nico hand.
And puzzles, core of any adventure game, are most of the time, rather simple. It's not nesesary a huge drawback, but if you want to be intelectually challenged, well, look somewhere else.
A true Broken Sword adventure enjoyment ! It is only a pity that the first 3 are not playable anymore. I hope the makers decide to remaster them, as they remastered the 1st in the series.
The backgrouns are a wonder to look at, but the rest of the game is meh.
I never been a broken sword fan, but this one was really unispired, so buy it in a sale for completing the collection.
