Blade of Darkness deserves a good remake
This game was great at its time, and even now too! A good remake will bring the game to new generations, is needed!

Waited for this one
I was waiting and hoping they would release this one. The combat is tough and suspenseful. Great graphics and effects for its time. It was well worth the wait and has great brutal hack and slash gameplay (like die by the sword with better graphics and controls) Give it a whirl!

Camera Controls Desperately Need Update
Well, yeah, this sure is kind of a classic, and I find myself liking this game to my own surprise. HOWEVER, the clunky, jumpy mouse camera controls were not even acceptable back then, they always sucked. So, please, this has to be updated desperately; otherwise the game is as good as unplayable for me.

Cheap deaths and terrible controls
I bought this game, coming from the Gothic series, expecting a similiar expirience with less dialogue. Sadly, it's not really what I expected. The story and the dark style are decent and why I associated it with Gothic. There is a wide variety on weapons and combat style. The keyboard mouse controls are so clumsy, that I was not able to learn them. (if thats even possible) At times the input seems delayed or did not equal the ingame actions of my character. This led to frustrating combat in very narrow levels, which caused countless of deaths. Additionally, there are alot of cheap none visible death traps inside the level. In my opinion this is has nothing to do with "difficulty". It's just cheap. Of course you can save at any point in the level, but the game has the audacity to mock you for saving often by labeling your save game with a rating. In my case "coward". I'm sorry, but I'm not a coward for saving often, I just don't want replay the same stuff over and over again, because of dying by cheap death traps or clumsy unfair combat. All in all I cannot recommend this game. If you want a similar game with way better clumsy controls and dark atmosphere, then just play Gothic.

THey finally added it!
This was one of my first games ever and is still one of my favorites of all time. I love that they fixed a lot of issues when they released it here, there is one issue left and that is when you get the sword of Ianna the cinematic scene might freeze your game, i managed to get around it somehow. Other then that its the dark souls before dark souls, the game still holds up thill this day. I am looking through my nostalgia glasses so take my praise with a grain of salt.
