Masterpiece of storytelling
What a great adventure this has been! Played both the main game and its DLC (Minerva's Den) and left myself immersed in the Rapture's haunting atmosphere. If anyone challenges you why gaming is an art, point them towards this one as one of the greatest examples this medium can offer. I prefer this one over the original Bioshock for its improved gameplay mechanics and its setting, which was less horror compared with the original. On the technical side, I have experienced my share fare of crashes to desktop, so glad I pushed through these and didn't give up. From what I noticed, lowering graphical settings does help most of the times (antialising, water reflections etc.), the issues mostly happen during busy or hectic fights (lots of visuals or alarms at the time). Savescumming helped with these incidents, sometimes also change of fight strategy was necessary (different plasmids used or staying hidden from enemies sight until their number is lower). In spite of these issues, maximum score from me and a game I greatly recommend for anyone interested in a FPS with a long-lasting story!
