Shallow story, ok technically-wise
Good news for my fellow Linux users - the game works well on Linux. Despite a few freezes and crashes, I was able to properly play for several hours straight without interruption. What I liked: - Good save system. Even when it crashes, you are losing 1-5 minutes of gameplay. - Fights. I used all types of weapons all the time and that kept it fun, but it definitly can get boring, especially because psi powers and guns are just so OP. - Sights. It looks ok. What I hated: - Lectures. The game is one large bizarre pro vegan anti corporate propaganda. Even before the main menu loads it starts lecturing you on how corporations killed the planet. One of the main bosses is referred to as Meat Eater. He has to be killed because he eats meat. Apperantly only herbover animals evolved after the apocalipse, except for that one meat eater who must be killed. - Narrator. This is the worst part of the game (even after you set it to 0) It either talks to you like to a toddler or it comments how some specific area was destroyed by the EvilCorp: "They made explosives here. Until it blew up in their faces!". - Fetch quests. You keep getting quests that force you to travel 2500 meters somewhere, then press 1 button a few times or talk to 1 NPC, then go to a different direction 1500 meters, press 1 button again and then backtrack. - Bugs. Even though for the most part I didn't come across any really bad bugs, the game reset all my resistances to 0 after I built them up to 60-80%. I also sometimes randomly got exp while just standing around and doing nothing. - Puzzles. They are at a level that only children 3-5 will find them interesting. You are pretty much only matching 2 colors to each other in all puzzles. - Extreme morality. You are either Jesus or you are going around murdering cute little furry animals for fun. In addition it doesn't matter which path you chose, you still get the same ending. - Awful dialog. There is no voice acting, which makes every dialog slow and painful.
