Good Megaman Clone! Really enjoying it!

It's a decent enough game. I got it for free from Amazon, so I can't complain. If ur into old school SNES MegaMan type games then you'll prob love this one. My real issue and frustration with the game is that it feels super unresponsive which just makes it feel janky and alot of deaths / damge feel cheap. I get the the impression the devs were trying to emulate the old school pixel by pixel / timing aspect of the older gen games, which I can appreciate. But it just feels like they missed the mark as far as bringing it to this title. Even the level desgin is kinda amature-ish. I just beat level 5 and thought I found a short cut. I ended up running it backwards twords the check mark I had just activated. It made no sense the way it was set up. I shouldn't have been able to complete it backwards. Completly wasted my time and casused nothing but headaches. The whole game has that type of vibe to it. Like its just a mid game that thinks its ok cuz they're falling back on the whole nastalgia angle. Its fun enough that I'll problably finish it and it does get somethings right. There are a good amount of upgrade options and a metrovania aspect to it. Once you unlock newer powers you can replay levels, access areas you couldn't before and get closer to 100% the level. It's a nice touch imo. But the combat in general just feels kinda off and unpolished. I wouldn't deter people from buying this game but only if they can get it for the right price. I'd say its in the rage of $5 personally. I won't go as far as to say the game sucks. Theres plenty of appeal, but i'd def go in with lowered expecations.

Title says it all. Feels like a fun Mega Man throwback but set in a unique world with fun powers. Had a blast playing it!
