BATTLETECH

I give this game a C Grade. The controls are bad compared to Company of Heroes, Men of War and Templer Battleforce. You automaticly get your next mech unit selected so that depending on what you want to do you miss-order the unit to run. Shooting is often not selected so that you auto-run to the enemy and punch it. It also has NO auto-save. I dislike the game. MechWarrior 5 seems to be a better game UI wise. I do not even get the Armor system and I played MechWarrior Online and have seen Mech livestreams and videos over the years. TL:DR Stuttering game (when having Fallout 3 attack cameras), BAD UI and NO QUICK SAVES C Grade for modern games but I'd rather give this a D because PS1 and PS2 had more and better B-Developer and C games!

Crash after crash after crash. Won't play anything beyond the first two missions. Unless you have one monster computer, don't even bother.

I wrote an extensive and indepth review before realizing that there is an extremely limited word count, because apparently reading is too hard. Needless to say, I am bit annoyed. But here we go with V2, the GOG approved short review: Technically absolutely terrible game, using the extremely shitty Unity engine. Sorry, no space to explain what's wrong. Game-wise, it suffers from trying to be faithful to the tabletop rules whiles being a competetive multiplayers game while trying to be a engaging, and deep single-player game. Fails at all three. Sorry, no space to explain in detail. Play MekTek for multiplayer, play MechCommander for strategy, and play MechWarrior 4 (and its expansions) for single-player story and Mech simulation game. Battletech is an awful attempt by HBS to exploit the Kickstarter boom.
