Ancient Celtic Monuments: Standing stones are, perhaps, the most mysterious wonders of the ancient world. There are still no satisfactory explanations as to what they are, how they were built, and who constructed them. A detailed, and spellbinding, story is woven through the very fabric of Barrow Hill, offering possible explanations, further mysteries and a chance to get beneath the surface of archaeology like no other game before it.
Dig deeper: Use real archaeological techniques, and practice, to unearth forgotten artefacts and delve into the Celtic legends which haunt the green lanes of the hill. Cornwall boasts itself as the home of many sorcerers, ancient kings and mythological characters. From the piskie folk of the hedgerows and clifftops to the beasts of Bodmin Moor. There isn't a corner of England's most western county that isn't rich in folklore, magic and danger!

This game feels like like it's building up to something, and it does a great job at the buildup. The atmosphere is great at points. But the farther i got in the game, the more stale it became. The scares got more predictable and lame, and the voice acting is truly terrible. Whenever someone spoke I couldn't help but snicker a little.
The end reveal just sucks, and made me feel dumb for putting in the time to finish this game.
If it's really cheap and you are desperate for an point and click game, you can do worse than this, but there are better games out there as well.
Point and click horror game with creepy sound design and great atmosphere that doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares. I like the celtic lore and the live action/real photo style npcs that you talk to throughout the game. However, I had to rely on a guide to finish the game since there are hundreds of things to click and the game area is rather open from the get go so it is easy to get stuck in an area without knowing what to do. Some areas are pretty dark and very difficult to navigate since the game doesn't show you all the hotspots so its easy to miss them. There were times that I had no idea what I should be looking for. There are a ton of readings so taking notes or screenshots might be necessary at times.
