Baldur’s Gate 3 is something special, though. Its complexity is intimidating, but sticking with it and learning has such a high reward threshold that it's hard to not recommend the sequel to even the most casual gamers out there. It has heart, it has style, and it has the multi-year effort of a studio that obviously loves its source material. The mind-blowing size of the game itself and everything contained within is a testament to Larian Studios' dedication to its craft and commitment to bringing something incredible to the gaming public. The blend of the various Dungeon & Dragons systems into the game is almost flawless in its execution, and the math and storytelling combo does a one-two punch on almost every other RPG game out there. High quality and astoundingly fun, Baldur’s Gate 3 may just become the kind of game that old and new fans can agree is something extraordinary.

Huge number of technical issues
Very disappointed in the state of this game. Tons of system lock up (no other game including dos:2 causes my machine to lock up); lots of clipping issues causes mis-click and other annoying garbage. Pathing issues at time that are very times. The technical issues are so abundance that it is difficult to see past them to enjoy the material. Also the rendering makes it extremely difficult to see objects right in front of you (hold that alt key down if you want to find items). Extremely disappointed in the current state of the game - but the frequent machine reboots makes it virtually impossible to say anything positive about the actual content. DOS:2 was no where as broken as this game when it was released in EA.

I will buy this game...Here's why.
I've read the reviews. All of them. People make no sense most of the time. When you scan through tons of reviews you find that what people complain about really isn't part of the game they are leaving a review on. It's mostly about their taste in game mechanics, or gameplay in general. From what I've gathered this game, once completed, will be pretty close to playing table top D&D. Random! Dice rolling is RANDOM! That's why you spend points for bonuses. This game is as good as bought. Whine as much as you like. No one can stop you.

Best Alternative to Sitting Around the Table with Friends
If the goal was to get as close to the feel of tabletop gaming as possible, then this is the pinnacle of success to date! The story is both intriguing and engaging. The interface provides tools that are very familiar to any TTRPG player; and, for anyone familiar with the D&D 5e ruleset, then the gameplay is exactly as expected and comfortable to play in. I am astonished that the game is still in developement and is already this excellent. I can't wait to see how good the final relase is. It is already a truly gorgeous game! Definately a critical hit! Keep up the excellent work Larian Studios.
