Beautiful game that still captures rally
This is a beautiful game that doesn't sacrifice gameplay for graphics. It's very addictive to drive and takes some skill to master, whilst being very approachable for the casual gamer. Wholeheartedly recommend.

Deceptively simple.
The visuals are a core part of the experience, one element made in representing the rally experience. It is clear that a significant amount of time was spent on the charming aesthetic style, audio, and soundtrack. The appeal of this combination will itself attract or repulse buyers. The visuals not only make the world more vibrant, but obscure visibility as one drives into a dark night, bright snow, or sunset. Additional features can result in a tricky and surprisingly real experience should the player wish it, like car damage affecting performance, and the overall handling - which is punishing of mistakes and a little slippy should control be lost, replicating the feeling for us mortals at home of wrestling for control of a car on the edge of grip, as a fierce rally driver would. To get the most enjoyment, therefore, it is preferable to both own a machine more powerful than the recommended system requirements (one which can handle longer drawing distances and apply lighting and shadow effects to those objects - with low settings the game can look barren and unadorned) and a controller that can make precise steering and throttle inputs; mitigated by the dead zone and steering sensitivity settings. From the above, there is one discovered weakness in the camera and drawing of objects. An insufficient amount of the objects not visible to the camera aren't culled, lowering the performance from what is expected from the prescribed system requirements. For instance, frames may drop in highly forested areas if the settings are too high. Users with lower specs may encounter scenery pop-in and resulting oddities like the shadow length exceeding the draw distance at sunset. All users may note the draw distance has been limited and hidden by a blurring effect, and that sometimes objects directly behind the player obscure vision. In a word, art of rally would be improved with a more optimisation. In short, I found casual fun at first and challenge when it got difficult.

Solid experience for casual players too!
I have to write the same as the other GOG member, name frilled. The game is fun and plays really well. I tried with keyboad, I think with gamepad etc. it would be even simpler. No special learning curve, or is there? Maybe. You need to be better and better, upgrade your driving skill if you want to win the career mode. The graphics, sound, environment and music it simply TOP. You can configure many things (graphics, sound, UI elements, etc.) Tested on Ryzen 5 1600, 16 GB RAM, Radeon RX 580, everything set to auto.
