Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000 features the Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator Campaigns and the frenetic single-player Skirmish mode from the original title: Alien Versus Predator Gold Edition, which was released to massive acclaim in 2000.
Alien Versus Predator Classic 2000 has been updated to run on modern PCs and laptops using DirectX 9.0c and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller for Windows.
The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey.
The game supports Cross-play online multiplayer allowing GOG and Steam users to battle on one server.
Three campaigns: Colonial Marine, Alien and Predator
Includes all the levels from the original AvP Gold Edition plus the Millennium Expansion Pack
Skirmish mode against infinite Alien hordes
Bonus Episodes
Unique abilities, weapons and equipment for each species
Scale walls and elevator shafts as an Alien with frightening speed as you attack and devour your victims
Stalk your prey as the deadly Predator using wrist blades, shoulder cannons and stealth mode
Lock and load as a Colonial Marine using motion trackers, grenade launchers and flame-throwers to exterminate your foes
This game is a decent FPS with three diferent characters to choose. The game is not well balanced and the sequel always felt superior to me, but is a really fun experience.
AVP 2, Colonial Marine, Alien Fireteam Elite wrongest game, but true the Alien Isolation the FIRST TOP game. Because Isolation a cover, hider ninja game.
I really did like this game when i had it on disk, but my disk broke and i was unable to play it. when i saw it on gog i knew i wanted it saw i got it so i can play the lan party with friends only to find out the hard way. i got the game and went to play multiplayer only to find out it doesn't come with the game. if they are going to sell a game that is not multiplayer then it needs to be taken off the modes. i read in reviews later it did not have the multiplayer mode. Please update your game mode info this is very misleading. Thank you for reading my review.
Review of Single Player
Aliens Versus Predator suffers from its own commitment to authenticity. Each of the race’s campaigns are faithful to their respective movie’s look, sound and tone, but at great cost to gameplay.
For example, grainy night vision is constantly required to spot aliens in the Marine campaign, but the contrast of white on green burns into your eyes and genuinely feels damaging to your sight. This CCTV type effect is iconic to the ‘Aliens’ movie, but wisely used briefly.
The intense music has to stick around for much longer than a movie action scene and the repetitive trumpet squeal and bass is headache inducing. The constant horde of Alien attacks are scary at first, like the movie, but soon become a tedious and cheap way to increase difficulty.
A Xenomorph being able to climb along walls like a spider, move swiftly and deliver deadly close range attacks is amazing to watch, but horribly disorientating to experience when playing the Alien campaign. Enemies have guns so anything other than a stealth attack is almost guaranteed to get you killed.
The Predator campaign starts off the most promising, but amazingly manages to encompass all of the issues of the other two campaigns – with multiple vision types to boil your eyes and a character that moves so fast so as to be detrimental. Often I found myself accidentally sliding into rooms full of soldiers to be quickly shredded apart by gunfire.
AVP wants to relive the experiences of the movies, and many elements of the sound and visuals achieve this – even with the ancient, near Playstation 1 era graphics. However, as with many spin off games it can be easy to see when gameplay/enjoyment is second to atmosphere and movie callbacks.
That isn’t to say that AVP was lazily made, but when it came to striking a balance between authenticity and gameplay, gameplay lost every round. More details in full review here:

Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000 Is An Updated Version Of An Overshadowed Classic FPS From 1999. Aliens Versus Predator Classic 2000's Singleplayer Is One Of The Best Singleplayer Campaigns To Come From An FPS, With Three Campaigns With Three Different Playable Characters That Will Each Keep Your Attention As You Worry About The Music Getting More Intense, And You Swear There Was Something Moving On The Wall.
There Is The Xenomorph (Alien), A Creature That Runs At Almost The Speed Of Light, Can Climb Up Walls, Has A Special White, Black, And Blue Vision, And Can Attack By A Scratch Or Tail Whip, And You Can Leap At Someone Only To Launch Your Second Set Of Teeth. He Has A Small Amount Of Health That You Can Earn Back, And His Story Is Pretty Difficult, With A Few Quirks In Map Design. The Next Class Would Be The Colonial Marines, Who Have An Arsenal Of Weapons, Night Vision, And A Radar To Keep Track Of The Enemies. His Levels Are Pretty Simple And Straightforward, But Will Keep You On Your Toes As You Worry About That beep On Your Radar. The Last Character Is The Predator, The Most Difficult To Play As. He Is Relatively Slow, And Has A Small Arsenal Of Weapons That Can Be Quite Tricky To Use If You Haven't Learned How To Use Them. He Has A Ton Of Health, But Can't Run Away Like the Others Can. His Levels Are Most Of Tedious If You Can't Find Out How To Use His Weapons Correctly.
being that It was Overshadowed by other great FPS's such as Unreal Tournament, it results in its biggest problem, the dead Multiplayer. Not a soul is on the Multiplayer, which is the best part to play.
There Is Many Different Types Of Gamemodes, And You Have Full Control Over Every Rule When Its Started, And If You Leave, Someone Else Will Become Host. The Multiplayer Is Most Fun With All Three Characters, If Anybody Was Playing It. Don't Get This Game If You Don't Have Any Friends To Play The Game With, And You Want To Play The Multiplayer, Even Though Its The Best Part Of The Game.
