Alien Versus Predator Classic 2000 has been updated to run on modern PCs and laptops using DirectX 9.0c and includes support for Xbox 360 Controller for Windows.
The three most ferocious species in the universe in a bloodthirsty battle for the ultimate prize: survival. Take your pick: be a Colonial Marine, a Predator or an Alien. Fight through suspense-filled environments: from starships and space stations to colonial bases and eerie planetscapes. One wrong move turns you from hunter to prey.
The game supports Cross-play online multiplayer allowing GOG and Steam users to battle on one server.

The worst thing about the game is the level design, it's terrible. Also half of the time I had no idea what to do because the game is so dark and switches, etc blend into the eviroment. Other than that, meh. Being the Predator is ok. I hated being the xenomorph at first because the starting level is confusing, but then I got into it. I highly recommend a controller while being the xeno, it makes a HUGE difference. The marine campaign? It sucks. The first level everything looks the same and xenos do not stop coming.
I'm hanging on the ceiling, my health is low. I destroyed all the lights, so the marines can't see me. But i can... They never knew what hitted them! I fill my health by biting their heads from above! 1... 2... 3 Marines! One left!!! With the velocity of a lightning bolt i rush that poor guy and leave nothing but red puddles in the room... Rest in pieces!!! There's nothing like being an extraterrestrial killingmachine with acid as blood and hunting those afraid and clueless marines...
...But... maybe nailing a marine on the wall with the predators nailgun! Or tapping through the dark as a marine only with this accident-sensitive motion trigger, armed with a modern smartgun but feeling as vulnarable as it can be between all those aliens and predators!!!
I love that game!!! Creating REAL atmosphere just with the gameplay and not with endless quick-time-events. If you like FPS and liked watching the alien/predator movies there's no other opportunity: Choose your race!!!
