Alien Shooter + Expansions

Alien Shooter is a game where in each level you mow down huge hordes of aliens. Entire hallways will be painted in blood and strewn with viscera as you chew through thousands of minigun rounds and scores of rockets. If you're a fan of Crimsonland or Tesla vs Lovecraft then this game is for you. Being able to purchase items and weapons between levels adds an extra layer to the game but really itall comes down the gratuitous violence and scores of enemies. I really enjoy this game and for what it costs I've easily gotten my moneys worth.

I love Alien Shooter. I've played it in the past a lot on my windows XP desktop. Alien Shooter is poorly optimized for windows 7 and above. As a result, there is a game breaking bug that I am shocked no one brought it up in the reviews. It is also unprofessional from GOG not to mention it on the store page. Whenever your character have medikit, the game always crashes when you die. The only solution is never picking up or buying a medikit. However, this is easier said than done because it is common to pick it up by accident especially if it is found in a hidden place.

Don't expect too much, it is not a complicated game. A simple Alien Shooter, as the title suggests. You go and shoot.. Something like a Diablo 2, but you shoot aliens. Simple, yet perfect controls. It is a little bit short, but considering its simplicity, its probably the best. Longer gameplay could get me bored (as Diablo 2 did). I bought it in discount, and if you see a discount on it, then you should buy it right away!

A mindless top-down run-and-gun shooter in the style of the classic 'Alien Breed' series: While it certainly has problems with the likes of the non-existent Ai and annoying camera angle ( and i personally hate how you have aim your guns with your mouse rather than it being locked to the characters rotation), for a Russian indie game from 2003 named 'Alien shooter', its actually really fun and kinda what you expect. In short, fun if you enjoy a mindless alien slaughter-fest. (also, there exists remastered version of booth this game and its sequel, don't know why neither have been added here though)

The game is fun and it's simplicity plays well with it, the problem is the horrible "optimization" or lack thereof, because just going into the very first mission the game crashes by WALKING in an area you need to walk through to pass the mission, there's also several other crashes, if you happen to die and respawn, the game crashes, uf you use a med pack sometimes the game crashes. The game almost crashes just by looking at it. It's really sad that such a fun and simple game can't be enjoyed because the game crashes on you almost every second.
