Great game, little hard on eyes though
It's short (beat it in 2.5 hrs) but it was really enjoyable experience - I bought it on sale for 1 € but I wouldn't feel cheated even if I payed the full price. I liked the unique art style and the idea of having to follow the subtly evolving background track to get into the rhythm. I can imagine this kind of game (with many segments being very timing-sensitive) getting very frustrating - however, thanks to very frequent checkpoints, this is not the case, as you'll usually only have to replay a short segment before progressing further - and I didn't find any of them too hard. The key is to stay calm and focused, especially in the boss fights. If you think they're too hard, you've probably never played any old school arcade scrolling shooter - or you're raging too much :) They're challenging (which is good) and it took a me a couple (dozen) attempts to beat the final one but it's only about learning the rhythm and once you do, you'll realize there's nothing unfair about them. The only thing where I could see an improvement was the choice of color schemes - I've found most of them rather unpleasant and aggressive on eyes, with little harmony between the colors and some of them being too bright and/or saturated for being used in large areas. I really wish the authors would have spent more time creating more subtle color schemes for the levels - this simple improvement could have drastically enhance overall vibe and feeling of the game. Anyway, it's still a really nice little game.

Overall = 8/10
A fun and challenging minimalistic rhythm based platformer with catchy synthesized music and lots of colourful patterns. Simple gameplay and very challenging bosses, but it never feels unfair – you just have to get in with the rhythm. Could do with more levels, and at least a checkpoint before the bosses in the mirror levels!

Rhythmically enjoyable
It's a funny platforming game with interesting ideas, like basing everything in rhythm, which makes it funny to play. However, it's extremely short, and it tries to be longer artificially, by having a "no death mode", which personally is not the best way to make a game longer and it can be frustrating. Despite this, it's a game i had fun with and will come back again

Minimalistic and fun!
140 gives you about 2 hours of good platforming fun and nothing else. It does not try to do crafting, procedural generation, different endings, collecting crap for 100% completion - none of that. You just put on your headphones and enjoy. The game is extremely focused on what it does and I think that's great. It doesn't even have a menu, because there are no settings here - this is also a bit of a warning: most people are OK with WSAD or arrows, but if these keys are broken on your keyboard, you're going to have a bad time. I liked it because I didn't need to get in the zone or reserve an entire evening to have fun with it. A quick session, beating one of the bosses, get out and do something else. After finishing the 4 areas I'm done with the game and I can play something else from my collection. A couple of bucks well spent ;)
