I loved the spectrum of puzzle genres it offered! Probably my first experiences with real-time strategy and time management puzzles. The chiding, but humorous and encouraging voice lines from Dr. Brain took away some of the sting of having to try the puzzles again.

One of my very favorite games growing up. There is something for everyone and every level. We definitely played this as a family, and spent a lot of time laughing together.

This game is a great series of puzzles. I used to play with my sister and we still talk about it decades later, the sound clips embedded in our gaming history. Aside from the nostalgia, the game is actually entertaining and a great example of titles that straddle that edutainment niche.
I feel like this is definitely one of the forgotten entries in this series, which is a shame. The caveman rock section is really cool and worked great as an introduction to music composition and even editing software. The future section with the brains is mostly just straight forward logic puzzles, but it does it in a way that I've not seen before elsewhere, which allowed a young me to actually learn how to complete one of those puzzles. It's been a while since I've played it, but I know I spent plenty of time in my youth perfecting each of the levels.

A very cool assortment of puzzles. I was never very good at the Alchemy puzzle, and the Beaver game is definitely an exercise in frustration: It must be how a spider feels when someone walks through their web. Loved the Brain logic puzzles. I bounced between all of them fairly frequently. (You needed to play all of them to beat the game, afterall.) I also probably played the Space Invaders clone on the title screen as much as the actual game itself. I still have the SFX stuck in my head from time to time. EE er EE er EE er. All-in-all, though, I'm quite surprised that a Dr. Brain game would even be on the Dreamlist. The series should all be on GoG already!
