Impressed
Never followed this series until a week ago, but I am a fan of games like diablo 1/2, the souls series, and fable 1. A lot of this game reminds me of fable but it stands out on its own. The story teling is well done, there are a lot of subtle details that really draw you into the world. Here we are in 2020 and I am hooked on a game from 2007. I am only in the middle of chapter 2 but I can't wait to continue on with the rest of this, then on to witcher 2 and 3! If I had to give advise to other first timers, I would say read the guide that comes with your purchase of this game. It is incredibly detailed and hasn't left a mechanic of the game unanswered. When I first started there was definitely some confusion for me but the guides clear them up.

stands up well
got this game a few weeks ago and not long finished this game the story kept me hooked i like the games of dice the fact that this game came out in 2007 and i enjoyed every moment of it says a lot about the game a must buy

Odd mouse acceleration on my device
I have never played a Witcher Game and I wanted to give this a try first before stepping up to 2 or 3. The Prologue/Opening of the game actually drew/hooked me from the get go. Unfortunately I am having hardware issues with the game. It has no controller support and when it comes mouse or mouse+keyboard combination, mouse movement has some weird hardware acceleration and the acceleration is not subtle or "mild". I made sure to check that acceleration is off and I even lowered my mouse sensitivity in Windows 7 but I still had the weird acceleration making movement and even battling with the mouse unplayable for me. I can't justify buying different hardware to play this game as this is the same basic keyboard and mouse combo I played Deus Ex Mankind Divided on with no issues (didn't play it with controller). So maybe ill try to revisit this game again after a long while. I won't say it is bad, but I wanted to share this odd experience of mine on Windows 7.

Good game but has a low replay value.
The play time that I got for about a dollar was well worth it. Overall, it's a good game, but I don't see myself playing it again in the foreseeable future. One of its many strengths for me specifically is that it can run on old computers. I'm glad to have played and finished it.
