Brilliant D&D Game
Amazing D&D PC game. If you are looking for the classic RPG in D&D setting - this is very solid choice.

Platform and Puzzles
I am very disappointed, but glad I DLed it elsewhere to test before paying for it and all the DLCs. I love isometric tactical combat, I love DnD conversions, I love role-play, I really, really dislike platform games, and I hate puzzles. This game is all platform and puzzles because without solving the puzzles and without jumping around like a frog on a hot skillet, you don't get to progress . . . and heaven forbid if you actually get into a fight, and one of your characters dies, it's game over. Even if one of the NPCs that happen to be tagging along dies, it's game over. Not, you failed the mission, but GAME OVER. A little news flash here for the Developers: low level DnD characters die a LOT but the story always goes on. I really, really wanted to like this game. Character generation was fun. Combat was fun. Nothing else was fun.

Sehr güte Kämpfe, Story ok
Wie es der Titel sagt gefielen mir die Kämpfe und die allgemeine Implementierung des Spielsystems (angelehnt, bzw. "kopiert" von D&D 5e) sehr gut. Taktiken waren nötig (habe auf normal, oder "authentisch" gespielt), kamen aber während des spielens natürlich. Die Story ist allerdings einer der schwächeren Punkte. Wer hier große Entscheidungsfreiheit erwartet wird wohl enttäuscht und mitgerissen hat mich auch nichts wirklich. Leider fehlte die Entscheidungsfreiheit sogar manchmal an Stellen wie "Wir haben eine Kiste gefunden. Das ist sicher eine Falle. Sollten wir lieber weitergehen und die Kiste zurücklassen?". Problem hier war, dass es nicht möglich war voranzuschreiten ohne die Kiste zu öffnen. Gerade mit den folgenden Konsequenzen (sie gehörte jemandem) hätte ich mich gerne dagegen entschieden und einen Kampf vermieden. Trotz dieses Kritikpunkts gebe ich aber gerne 4 Sterne und bin gespannt, was die DLCs so zu bieten haben.

Great coop
I've bought this game after the cooperation was added to play with my friends. As a DnD 5e tabletop player I must say that it's almost exactly the same as DnD rules. I won't compare it to BG3 in opposition to others, because BG3 is still early access and I'll wait for the final game to release. Solasta's story is nice, not the best I've seen in my life but still this is engaging enough, getting better with time in Crown of the Magister and Lost Valley as well. The characters we created with friends were very sacrastic and cynical and we had lots of laughs with the dialogs - sometimes they are really great and there were moments where we couldn't wait to see another cutscene with our player characters. Compared to DnD rules though, I didn't notice the cover mechanics being implemented but maybe I didn't pay enough attention(?). When playing on the tabletop ruleset, the game is sometimes hard and forces you to think about your tactics. So far there are 12 levels only but both the Lost Valley and Crown of the Magister campaigns are still long enough. Really fun game. At this moment I have both campaigns completed with 88 hours of playtime and we are thinking to replay it another time with different characters. The great thing about this game is also the fact that if a player hosting the campaign has some DLCs, the other players do not have to, including the whole Lost Valley campaign. The soundtrack was a nice background, but I can't remember anything particular that wanted me to open youtube and find it after playing the game. Good, but nothing special. I'd give it 4,5 stars for its few flaws but it's not possible. I'm giving 5 because current 4,1 average is too low for this game in my opinion.

D&D 5E at its finest
Currently is one of the best adaptations of 5E out there, I'm mean there are currently just 2 games adapting 5E, this one and Baldur's Gate 3 in development. But this one feels like a true session of TTRPG, at least on the combar side, the dice roll, the spells management, the movement, the story is pretty straight forward (thing they change a little bit on the second DLC) but it fits, its well presented and give you a motive to avance through the game, has some interesting art design with beautiful locations, a very robust character creation system with many options that will take you hours to decide between all the combinations (plus the new classes the DLC adds) and a great soundtrack. The base game is more focused on combat, I recommend it a lot, the DLC expand what the game offer and I recommend to purchase them too. Great game and looking forward for what it's coming next!
