A bit different approach this time!
I've played the Cat Lady and then both Downfalls. First was one hell of a ride and prequel(s) was a very nice addition to taste Rem's world even more. Lorelai is quite different. It's much calmer, slower, no gore I'd say, puzzles are less demanding, all is less challenging, less surprising. But this is very nice story too. I liked the characters and the important life problems that are described here as well. If you'd like to dive deeper in Rem's world of though life situations that's great game. If you'd like to see more madness and surprises - you will be probably disappointed. Don't get me wrong - this is still a horror game, but it's not as wild as we used to it. New engine is OK, it definitely woks better than previous engine, the resolution at last can be native for your display. :-) Sometimes we get longer break between "rooms" and maybe not necessary visual effects can be a pain for your regular graphics chip. I like the voice-over however sometimes there's no emotion in voices (example - near the end of the game when one of characters got badly injured and talks like nothing ever happened). Regarding audio tracks, I'd say it's not so memorable like in The Cat Lady, but it's still very decent. I liked the Lorelai and I'm not disappointed. It have some therapeutic and calming values. Give it a try, give some love to Rem and just get some satisfaction of what is served. Keep on rockin', Rem!
