If you did not like The Cat Lady/Downfall then Lorelai won't change anything for you. If you've played and liked these games, there is a possibility you will enjoy it at least a bit. The game looks and feel a bit different from the 2 previous games-personally i would preffer if the games had the graphics of its predecessors. Also would prefer if they would bring back the controls from the rpevious games (maybe there is the option to in controls settings-did not check so maybe iam just stupid). Story itself is quiet enjoyable but still not as good as Cat Lady or Downfall (just my opinion). The happy ending is way too easy to get on your 1st playthrough if you pay attention to your surroundings. In the end i would recommend this game for people who like mature and dark themes in videogames. If you are not in these things then you won't enjoy Lorelai much.

Story focused, without ratatatat

I like playing games because of their story not mechanics. The sad thing is that the storytelling of most games is very shallow. Maybe a lot of people want action games were you walk around, collect loot or just shoot everything that gets in your way. I don`t. Thus Lorelai is exactly what I`m looking for - an interactive movie. To me it is a mix of the following gernes: crime / adventure / phantasy with a pinch of horror and a lot of sadness. The nature of an interactive story leads you to interact with people and solve a few puzzles - like in point and click adventures. There seam to be also a few points in the story where you can decide about your actions, so it`s not completely linear I gues. To me this is a perfect idea for an interactive story. At the moment I can`t tell more about this, because I`ve only played it throught once. So, if you also like story telling games go buy it, otherwhise have a look for something else. I used a 360 gamepad. Took me almost 8 hours to play through. Due to my old gfx card (R7 370) I moticed one or two missing textures. The rest seamed OK.

Nice story with easy gameplay but really strong narrative. That was the game I exactly wished. 10/10

Another Great One by Michalski!

Horror elements mixed in with people of everyday life. Photo real pics mixed in with computer graphics. The contrasts are so stark it snaps your mind back and forth between reality and game! This guy has become my favorite weirdo! Each one of his games brings me a bit closer to some form of mania. An atmospheric horror story experience

This an atmospheric, unsettling trip into a young woman's abusive home life and both the mundane and supernatural horror that arises from it. The writing and voice acting is good, the scenarios are interesting and dark. The main character is sympathetic, her "normal life" sadly thwarted by ugly circumstances which she is forced to deal with. Remember this is solidly in the horror genre, so expectations about the pleasantness of its themes should be tempered by that knowledge. Specific trigger warnings have been adequately covered by other reviewers. As for gameplay, it's essentially a playable short story that barely makes you work at all to keep things moving. If it's approached as more of a story told via game tools than a "game" so to speak, it'll be easier to appreciate what it's going for. And that isn't exactly unprecedented. Some people won't like the vision or the style, but for what it is, it's unique and well-executed. I'll be looking up the others by this studio/author.
