Not worth the money, even if free

Souls-like means that the world and environment are punishing, relentless, and difficult. These factors should not be due to lack of features and options, such as key-binding, or having an in game menu that allows you to close the game that is accessible from any normal (non-cut scene or cinematic) gameplay moment. This game offers none of the above. Further, I saw the option for multiplayer with the rift (only after investigating it did it alert me to what it was). I thought, "Hey, I want to get my feet under me first and try to finish any tutorial like portions before getting my teeth kicked in". Queue action from another player who successfully one shotted me no less than 5 times as I tried to get through portions of the beginning area. I spent half an hour on this game, which was free, and I want a refund of my time, and energy. I cannot express how disappointed I am in this game strongly enough while abiding by the ToS of GOG.

A Rough Gem

I got this game for free, so keep that in mind to account for bias. This game is very satisfying. If you like Souls-likes you might enjoy this one. There are weapon arts, multiple builds, new game +, background lore, and interesting boss fights. Let me say; I have not beaten the game. I got stuck at a boss that seemed much more difficult than any other and let the game cool off for a bit. The content that I have experienced is good. The game experiments with day cycles, alternate healing methods, dimensions, and space environments. All of these were executted alright, but I have some complaints. Healing items do not fully replenish after death or resting at a rift making bosses more annoying. Instead of ramming yourself at a boss until you win, you have to grind your healing charges between every encounter for the best chance. The dimension mechanic is not very fleshed out, so they seem like little pockets rather than an alternate world. The day cycle has no wait function, so you have to just sit there and wait for them to come or go. This wastes the player's time. The space areas are cool, but full of instant death falls. The suit required for easy travel outside is not made to fit every build, and most people may not be able to properly perform in the outside sections easily. I had to go unarmed in space because I was a heavy ranged build and didn't build equip load or strenght. Even with all that said I think this game is very good and with minor polish could be a gaming classic. It has a lot of replayability and would be very fun with friends.

Hey alright

Its rough, clearly an indie game, still after ~1-2h I got hooked, probably because of the exploration part which is really cool in this one.

Amazing, beatiful and fun

I just started playing it out of boredom but it really catch my interet with the flow of the gameplay, i really suck at this kind of games but hellpoint make you feel less burdened with diying so much and the maps and locations are pretty big and good looking, and the fact that it can run on my potato pc ( a laptop with and a i5 7700u with a horrible cooling system) it makes it more enjoyable, if you want some game that gives you a lot of hours of gameplay, fun and good graphics yo should try it.

Good

I feel almost bad for grabbing this one for free, the game is fun, the combat is cool, the atmosphere is awesome. The sci-fi demonic stuff never go wrong when did properly. The game is really enjoyable once you understand the mechanics, and the enviroment especially outside of the base looks awesome. Its beautiful, well done devs!
