Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition

Reminiscent of Fallout 1 + 2's style of writing throughout, "Fallout NV" is a series masterpiece. While it lacks the polish of Fallout 4, or the strong RPG elements of the original fallout games, it makes for an excellent improvement on Bethesda's Fallout 3 released a few years before. Written by a team of the original fallout developers, New Vegas has you getting deeper and deeper down the rabbit hole with their unique and skillful writing, environments, and character designs. Come explore the wasteland as it was originally intended! This game is definitely not on rails! You'll find yourself ignoring the main story quest, and going off on small adventures with the various side-quests. Obsidian placed a lot of emphasis on the need for open-world exploration, and taking a cue from fans, really went out there to ensure a fair amount of content. I've played 300 hours of this game and I doubt I've actually explored the entire mojave desert. The time to buy this game has never been better: The ultimate edition comes with all 4 expansion packs. The expansions for this game were all great and enjoyable, providing unique looking new areas to fight and explore your way through. Take a step back on the technological chart and explore "Honest Hearts", bringing you into the middle of a tribal warfare in Utah. Then take a leap forward into the future of tomorrow - today! Thanks to the sci-fi machinations of the Big MT research labs in "Old World Blues." Chase after a fellow courier with a real vendetta and a lot of power at his fingertips by playing "Lonesome Road". Last but not least, play a mutated "Danny Oceans" and execute a casino heist in the do-or-die "Dead Money." I enjoyed every one of them. If you're looking for *more* from this classic: there are literally hundreds of addons available online offering new content, new party members, better graphics, new animations, and almost anything else you might desire.

THE BEST GAME EVER MADE!

Well the story is the best story in the Fallout series; The side-quests are very good; the DLCs are all unique; The game loves to crash and to have dropping fps. But I still love it

the base game alone has so many ways to play it that I've played through it 6 times in just over a month

Great game for being an open world rpg with shooter elements added into it. In comparison to fallout 3 the armor system now actually has components to it that matter, enemies are much more versatile than before, and the story is well versed with different options on how you want to go through/end it. Obsidian overall did well with a budget time of a year from Bethesda. However with all this in mind, there are a some mods that are recommended to fix some of the bugs/mistakes left behind. Recommended: NOTE: FOMM (Fallout Mod Manager recommended for installing most if not all mods) Yukichigai Unofficial Patch - YUP - fixes bugs and errors that wern't already addressed in the final update. Unofficial Patch Plus - The same as above however it includes more bugfixes that couldn't be added to YUP's mod because of the no plugin limitation. Vanilla UI Plus - Fixes some of the bugs in the UI that weren't already fixed; While also adding expanding the UI for a more PC friendly view. New Vegas Stutter Remover - Fixes some of the stuttering that can/could be noticed ingame as well as feel smoother or perform better. Jsawyer mod or Jsawyer Ultimate Edition (for a more modern/updated version) - Amps up the difficulty without making enemies bullet sponges, so consider if you want a more fallout experience than vanilla. Optional: Manual Reload v2 - Stops guns from magically reloading if you reequip or switch to another weapon and go back to the original one. Clarity - Removes the orange tint added throughout the entire game, including dlc Uncut Wasteland - If you want to re-add some of the stuff cut from the original games production due to console limitations/budget constraints
