Gaming's king of action returns in an all new adventure, this time in New York City. Duke battles his way across towering skyscraper rooftops and through gritty subway stations, hunting for a power-hungry villain, Mech Morphix. Mutants of every kind are thrown at Duke as he chases down Morphix through eight huge environments and avoids the green slime called GLOPP which is causing all the chaos.
But radioactive slime isn't Duke's only problem - there are more than 25 uniquely dangerous mutated enemies hell-bent on making a meal of him. Whether it's Uzi-sporting alligators or ten-foot tall roach beasts - Duke's in town to blast the bad guys and save the chicks. Sure, pipe bombs, a machine gun, a rocket launcher and a pulse cannon are going to make a goo-filled mess in the Big Apple, but what's a hero to do?

Most people seemed to pass this game over when it came out, but it's probably one of the most satisfying platformers I've played in years. The graphics are a bit dated now, but the controls are sharp and and the gameplay has been fine tuned to a nice hum.
If you're a fan of Duke, or platformers, you owe it to yourself to pick this up.

Put THE Duke Nukem in a bowl.
Add nine different weapons (golden eagle, shotguns or pipe bombs are OK), a few double damanges power ups, a nice jet pack and lot of hot babes waiting to be rescued.
Stir for five minutes.
Then fill the bowl with hundreds of enemies, twenty seven 2D platforms levels, lot of bosses, hilarious Duke Nukem's quotes, tons of secrets and even more babes.read more
Stir for another five minutes and voila. You have one of the most charismatic 2D action platformers ever.
Enjoy your multiple hours of gameplay.

Duke returns to GOG in this side-scrolling, alien-blasting adventure. Manhattan Project is something of an homage to the old Duke games (which were also side-scrolling shooters) and delivers plenty of action and witty one-liners.
Duke's in top form and has a quip for everything. This time around he's delivering snark while blasting holes in mutants created by Mech Morphix. Noread more aliens, but there are still plenty of babes; each stage has one that must be rescued before you can exit. The chapters are divided into three stages each and to progress you must survive an onslaught of mutants while rescuing babes and hunting down the keycard for the exit. There are also secrets and ten collectable 'nukes' that give you stat boosts if you grab 'em all.
Manhattan Project is a title thats a blast to play. There's a nice variety of enemies, Duke's signature "charm", some entertaining boss battles and item hunting to keep you busy. If you're at all a fan of the Duke and don't mind a little light jumping exercise then give it a whirl. Not a bad way to spend six bucks.
Hail to the king, baby.
