Water bug here too under Windows 7.

A worm falls into the water and the game freezes. I even found it hard shutting down the game and going back to Windows.

Game uninstalled.

wizzel: Water bug: Maybe Team17 should make a survey about how many customers experienced the water bug.
If 50% have this bug, the game should be marked as unplayable and it should be taken off the store until a fix is available.

The patch that fixes the water bug will arrive on Monday.

It's very likely that the original Worms World Party will not work, if you use Win7. Even with the SP1.5 that came out later for the game, you'll be experiencing 16-Bit color problems and DirectX issues. I tested it yesterday.
Don't know if it still works under WinXP, though.

Well maybe you will be surprised but its working normally like before :) There is many instructions how to do it and all of them works. Kill explorer, start game, exit game, start explorer... not big deal, just create one .bat file and you ready to go :) Nice graphics, no problems...

Because they are human and need to rest in the week-end, like all of us ;) Judas was very kind to tell us this news, and there was nobody else than him at the office when he posted the message (it was 8PM and we were friday, and they just received the update)
I appreciated a lot that he told us about this, this way we know that a patch is coming monday.

I think that if there was a possibility to upload the patch as soon as they had it, they would have ;)
And I'm sure that they'll upload it as soon as possible !

I think even he wasn't at the office. He just said that he received an e-mail and I assume he can also access these e-mails from home.
As much as I love the original game, I also had my game crash around the second round (twice in a row) so I uninstalled and am not reinstalling until an update patch is released.

Oh yes, you're very certainly right !
Huh, this is weird, because for some reason I'm not having any issues at all.

I purchased as a pre-order a week before it arrived (thanks to the late release), downloaded without Galaxy, am running Win 7 64bit, Core i7, Nvidia GTX 760, 8gb of RAM, and spent an hour-and-a-half on it the day it arrived. Lots of wet worms with not a single crash or sign of slow down. Did a three player hotseat game, no missions, one game with an AI, and no mission editor.

I feel awful for the people unable to get it running; if this bug somehow made it through, it makes me wonder what they supposedly had to take a week squash was....

I would like to know how many percent of the players have no issues.

XD
That bug probably deleted your hard disk, fried your hardware and stole your credit card. ;)

I have the same specs as you have, instead of only one difference: The CPU. Mine is a Core2Duo-CPU
which keeps me thinking if the water bug might be CPU-related. Anyway just speculating...

BTW: I got my hands on the Steam version and it doesn't crash at all, but in the Steam forums people
have already reported other bugs as well. So i will take a VERY CLOSE look at what Team17 has been fixing
in the patch that hopefully will arrive on Monday.

So has anyone tried playing online? Cause I for sure can't.

Senteria: So has anyone tried playing online? Cause I for sure can't.
I've been able to log in and enter the WormNet2 lobby, but there are way too few people online at the moment -- most of them Polish, if the flags next to the usernames are any indicator -- and I didn't feel like trying to host or enter a game. Mostly because I've always played Worms games for fun, and when I see that many few people I get the feeling those are usually "pro" players (as much as one can be a pro Worms player) and that playing against them wouldn't be fun for me in the least.

So, though everything works fine on my end, I actually don't know how the matches themselves play out, because I didn't try one yet.
I also can reproduce the water bug (win7 32 bit) using the baseball bat: but the game only freezes drowning worms from the opposite team, after drowning worms from your own team the game has no issues.

Thanks for the patch in advance.
