Bug confirmed.

Extra info: the game crashes when a worm is pushed by a blast, falls, jumps, or is hit into the water. It does not crash when a worm drills themselves through the ground and into the water.

I find it hard to believe that in testing this for release on GOG, no one blew a worm into the water. It happens in every match of mine. I hope this is fixed quickly.

gryfon: You can alt-tab in and out of the desktop and back, but the mouse is missing - makes it harder to kill the app in Task Manager.
Using Ctrl+Alt+Del to raise the Task Manager from Windows 7 worked well for me to close the crashed game; no mouse disappearing. Alt+Tab didn't bring me back to the desktop.

gryfon: EDIT: I have reported the details of this issue to the "support" tab of the GOG website. I suggest everyone having any issue (with any GOG game) also do the same. Don't leave it to others, because the more people who report a problem, the quicker they will act to fix it.
Seconded. It seems everyone has found this bug.
Looks like that bug is only in gog version. Nobody report any problems like that on Steam version.

And not everyone with the GOG version suffers from this issue.
I'll be honest I was hoping for a much better effort for this title.
You can achieve the same results with the original version of Worms World Party and the HD community patch (can't post links but just google "worms world party hd patch")
Only this version will not crash when you fire a worm into the drink.

I was really hoping that the original developers could manage a better version than the community... makes me sad ;(
Just can't believe it... Not that i wasn't expecting bugs in a worms game from Team17, but how could they DARE
to release a game that is un-f*cking playable? The first time my worm flew into the water i just couldn't believe my eyes: The Game crashed!

Maybe we should wait for 18 Patches like we did with Worms Reloaded to get a game that's decently playable...

Team17 = Bugs

Please, do your homework BEFORE releasing a game, next time...

Currently resisting the urge to post a negative review on the store page becasue I'd like to give Team17 (and GOG) a chance to sort this out first....
And from the reviews that are up there it seems like some people are able to enjoy it without these issues, however I feel like I should post something to warn everyone of these issues....perhaps I'll post something when I've calmed down a bit :s

Wait a little :) Of course this is not cool at all (and very disappointing)... But everyone make mistakes (of course I hope they'll react fast and repair eveything). I sent a support ticket to GOG talking about everything who isn't going well for me, and posted a summary here : this is where there is Team17's representative.
Honnestly, if the game isn't fixed in the next weeks, I'll certainly ask for a refund and consider to review it negatively. But for now, I wait to see what will be the reaction from Team17.

That's what I see, and it's nice because it's not the case of a lot of people nowadays :)

Nice one, thanks for the link, much appreciated :)
GOG.com Customer Support got back to me, suggesting I reinstall (as administrator), add the game to my antivirus software's exception list, reinstall DirectX 10, and update graphics drivers. The game still froze in exactly the same way. I've now logged a report via www.team17.com/support/ .

I'm disappointed, but I'll give Team 17 a chance to fix it. This is the first Worms game I've bought through GOG.com. I hope it gets fixed, because it's really unplayable right now.
Alas, the game also crashes for me the moment a worm hits water. Sounds like a common problem.

Trying to play a worms game without touching water is an extreme boost in difficulty. :-(

With such a game stopping bug - and with many GOG users experiencing it - hopefully it will be patched/fixed soon.
I got a reply from team 17. I have attached the email below. It looks like they cannot find the error. Also would like to point out that Holy hand grenades and banana bombs do not work for me (weird thing though is that the super banana bomb works fine).

They dont even know what is different between gog and steam version ? Why nobody with Steam version has the same problem ? We should have the same build like Steam but without DRM no? Thats what i dont understand...

There are a few users reporting it on steam so it doesn't appear to be an isolated issue. Just more people reporting it on gog version than on steam version. They can be found here
