1. Overhaul the alchemy screen - THINK EFFICIENCY !

- be able to brew multiple potions with my choice of ingredients without resetting to default. It's VERY frustrating when the ingredients keep getting reset to default selection after a single brewing. This is one of my biggest complaints about this otherwise awesome game.

- show how many of each ingredient remain, on the alchemy wheel itself

2. When viewing Formulas / Diagrams in Inventory, it takes FOREVER for the scrolling info to show me the required ingredients! Very annoying. Cant you just display all the info on the screen?

3. Items currently in the pocket slots in Inventory do not show remaining count. What's up with that? I have to move each bomb or trap back to the main inventory screen to see how many I have. In--efficient !

4. We need to be able to SORT the items in the inventory by Weight, Vaule, Name, etc...

5. Ability to drink potions on the go - why should Geralt have to meditate just to drink a stupid potion ???

bluewave256: - two Ring slots. one for the left hand and one for the right. rings that give good or bad effects.
- two earrings slots. one for the left ear and one for the right. earrings that give good or bad effects.
- one necklace slot. necklaces that give effects
- the ability to craft rings, earrings and necklaces

yes i know that these suggestion are too much but i put these ideas here so maybe they can read it,

vindik8or: Oh man, why not bracelets and anklets and tiaras and magical tattoos and mystical fingernail polish and nipple rings (one slot for each nipple) and kneepads and coloured contact lenses (omg different colours for each eye!) and enchanted beads that you can braid into Geralt's hair and codpieces and then you can have a horse or a rideable roach and you can do up her main in plaits and you can paint the saddle! It would be sooo goood!
yes why not? : )

Professor-Walrus: You shouldnt need the formula to make potions. I accidently sold my swallow formula while selling all the junk and now I cant make swallow and cant buy it anywhere.
I sent the question in to CD Projek Support. I sold my Swallow.
In the case of Swallow this is the repsonse I got:

You can buy the formula from the NPC that's just outside of the tent where Dethmold is.
Hello everyone, new guy here!

Well... let's see...

-some kind of a storage chest where I can put all my crafting materials in.
-Geralt should write all the recipes, schemes etc in his book, then sell them.
-Everything should be sorted in cathegories like:

-Alchemy
-Armor Patterns
-Weapon Patterns
-Enhancements
-Oils
-Bombs
-Traps
-Runestones
-Raw Materials

-Perhaps Geralt should learn how to craft weapons and armor by himself... similar to Gothic / Risen
-more minigames: we know of Dice Poker, Boxing, Arm wrestling. But what about some hunting challenges?
There are tons of good suggestions here!
All in all, this is the most ejoyably addictive game I've played. It's amazing, thanks to all of the inventive and talented folks involved, especially the original creator of our favorite witcher. Would never have known of him without the games, have read two of his English translated books and enjoyed them immensely. Thanks also to the modders that have put so much time and effort into making the game even more enjoyable.

These would be nice-to-haves:
- Map fixed position rather than spinning constantly or a marker for north, it's making me nuts having to get my bearings on the full map every time I turn. Fixing the quest marker on the map, it sometimes jumps.
- Make picking up loot easier. It's easy to miss if you're not on exactly the right spot. Letting the loot stay there until you pick it up. Sometimes it disappears before I can get to it, especially when in a fight. Even with the medallion, it's sometimes hard to find, so a function similar to TW1 item highlighting would be nice.
- Inventory management simplification as in other people's posts.
- Having the medallion active at all times, or having an option to have the Z key used as a toggle for those that don't share the opinion that having it active constantly is a good thing.
- Having the game take into account that in the first game, Geralt knew certain formulae and knew about specific creatures encountered in TW1.
- Making it necessary to purposely select quest-related ingredients when mixing formulae, rather than having them default. As it is, if you use the ingredient and don't realize it until much later, you have to revert to a save before you made the mistake, unless you installed one of the mod that let you buy ingredients from innkeepers or the Merchant.
- Having conversations complete before cutting out. For example, when following Foltest /Roche in the Prologue before the dragon seeks to make me charbroiled Rivian, following Zoltan to the meeting or Ziggy to the fights in Ch 2, or following Iorveth to Loc Muinne in Ch 3 are good examples. I could not experience the full conversation unless I slowed down to walking speed and stopped occasionally. Even then, I had to play with it a bit, as if they got too far from me, it prevented the conversation from continuing.
- I don't want to spoil anything, so I'll be as general as I can. It would be nice if you could help the ally on on path in Ch 3 before going to the big meeting, rather than after, so you can retrieve the item and help the other ally after the fight that ends the big meeting. Would likely mean the other ally that retrieved the item couldn't be saved, but I believe they'd be okay with it since the other ally would be saved. Maybe Sile could tell us how to help if we save her sorry @#$. Maybe we could find a book with the item that tells us how to help, it makes sense the item and the instructions would be found together... Maybe we can get the cure journal entry from Philippa's book in Ch 2 as well? Just a thought, as I hate leaving the ally afflicted in the end and can't bring myself to kill them.

Kind regards,
mythiccat

keitheady: 6. True analog motion. As it is the analog only has two speeds and a huge deadzone with 360.
Hell, yeah! I though I was the only one to use an XBox 360 Controller, since no one else seemed to be bothered by analogue sticks that mimic arrow keys instead of being, well, analogue =)
(also see Suggestions for XBox Controller Improvements)
Let us overwrite mutagens.
Let us overwrite armor and sword enhancements.
Fix the bug whereby installed mutagens aren't affected by Impregnation.
Fix the goddamn "Controls on furlough" bug.
Having to meditate to drink potions is not a bug. Not being able to meditate before major fights is a bug.

Not being able to overwrite mutagens and enhancements is not a bug. Not being able to find them because your inventory is about as well organized as a hobo's shopping cart is a bug.

Not being able to cast a sign or swing your weapon because three lowlifes are beating on you is not a bug. Not being able to cast a sign or swing your weapon because the controls decided to go on strike is a bug.

Please leave the intentional design decisions alone; they were your good judgment when you released the game, and they still are that. Concentrate on the real bugs.

Well said!

Corpses disappearing instantly is not a bug, (but it's certainly on my wish list of improvements :)

The technical glitches should be priority, eg. sound drop outs in 5.1

Wishb0ne: I would also love the ability to name my savegames and overwrite or delete them and having a quick load of either the last save or the last quicksave would be great.
This please! It gets really hard to tell my save games apart when they're all named the same thing and the bitmap preview doesn't always work.
Pause the potion timer during cutscenes and some instances. It's not realistic but this is a game right?

***** Possible Spoilers ******
There's just no way for Alchemist Geralt to fight the Draug in top shape because of the potion timer continuing even when Geralt cannot be controlled.
****** END ******

Anyway, abso-f&ck!ng-lutely great game this is.

I have absolutely no Idea why they did this. Please make it happen CDPR. It makes no sense.

I hope for something very simple. Have a North South East West direction indicator on the mini-map. Most of the time when i'm looking at the mini-map I don't know which direction I'm heading. I have to look at the full map to know which way is which.

There is a mod on WitcherNexus.com that gives you a 'North' indicator. I don't have the link at the moment, but a quick search on that site should turn it up. (It might called 'Panel Tweaks'...)
