It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

revial: Toxicity meant you couldn't potion spam. The suggestion has nothing to do with wanting to potion spam, and everything to do with being able to use potions proactively, rather than wait till you died to tell yourself, "oh shit, I should use potion X".

StingingVelvet: Good point on toxicity. Still, it's not very realistic to drink potions during a fast-paced fight. The rebuttal to that will surely be "fun over realism" but honestly my core point is that I think this system is more fun, because it's about planning.

Though honestly all I use is swallow anyway.
what about when you see the enemy as you are coming up on them isn't that a great time? what about jsut before you draw your sword?
cant we take a chance? i mean you will be open to attack and could possibly die when chugging it. isn't that enough to warrent not chugging all the potions you own?

i mean there are no instant effect potions anymore anyway ... i miss them
So, basically we're all in agreement that the consolized UI needs to go since it seems to have lost every basic feature of the UI from the first game? :p

Pretty much every suggestion here was in the last game as part of the UI. Heh.

yeah i wnt to use my mouse for the UI a little..... do kinda miss the freeze game option too.

but then again i used it to drink potions
I used it to drop bombs or change weapons and used the hot keys to change signs.

Also i don't like the UI it's a pain especially with lots of items.
Sword combat should be master, more fluid. It feels a bit clunky at the moment, but I do see where CDPR were going with it. Geralt is all about speed and agility, so he should be faster and more agile than he is currently. When you hit fast attack, you expect the attack to hit quickly, but at the moment it seems a bit too slow. I know changing this would affect the balance of the whole game, but since many people are experiencing the beginning to be way too hard, and the end to be way too easy, perhaps it needs to be done. The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition, perhaps?

everything would need a re-balance with any change so yes they would have to do just that
i'd like to add action queuing to combat.

i die way too many times because i throw a sign or swing my sword, and then geralt stands there like a lummox because i held down the key for my next action, usually parry, while geralt is still carrying out whatever i just told him to do. and then when he's done, it doesn't register that he should be parrying or running in any direction. i get killed way too much over this.
I forgot that I'd like the UI to be far more mouse oriented, like The Witcher 1. If they have to they could make a separate UI for keyboard+mouse, because they seem dead set on supporting that 360 controller.

I'd also like some combat bugs to be fixed. Sometimes after rolling I won't be able to cast a sign. Its not because I tried mid roll either, I literally stand there after the roll for 3 seconds and the sign still won't cast. I have to run around and do some attacks before I can use a sign again.
1. Be able to use the mouse in the menu screens but still be using gamepad in the game.
2. Be able to pick up specific loot instead of just grabbing everything off the ground.
3. Lock on that keeps the quarry in the camera's view so you can remain spatially aware.
4. General tightening up and glitch fixes. E.G the incense quest that blackscreens.
5. Arm wrestling improvements. The zone should slowly get at least a little bigger when you start losing. Otherwise if you mess up right at the very cusp of victory you have very little chance of recovering. It's small but I'd appreciate it.
6. True analog motion. As it is the analog only has two speeds and a huge deadzone with 360.
7. May already be in it but I wish the dice roll log stayed on a little longer after battles so I could see the exp. Might already be able to toggle it.
8. Quick load button. F9 please. I'd also like to be able to map quick save to my select button without fiddling with .inis or that type of stuff.
9. For whatever reason I can't use a bomb more than once when it's stacked in my quick slot. I had 5 of those dancing exploders but after one toss I couldn't throw another in the battle. I wish the bomb button was a little more responsive too. I'll hold it to aim and nothing happens. Sometimes the bombs get hung up and you end up wasting it because it clipped the environment unexpectedly. Bombs feel janky and it stinks because they actually are useful in this game.
10. I wish it was a little easier to enter combat when you have the foes unawares. Sometimes you get blindsided and you're jamming for your sword and you lose the element of surprise. Wish switching swords was a bit smoother too.

-A place to store loot like The Witcher 1 (for the love of God)
-Alt button back like on The Witcher 1 so i can see important npcs
-No more Saint Geralt (i jest i jest) :p
-I want my cards back lol (don't kill me for this D:)
move the camera down. it being at head height makes it a little annoying
The ability to overwrite saves, like in The Witcher 1.

Full control customization.
This includes the ability to customize analog axises for gamepads, both right and left stick. This'll help those people who have some odd preference, or a controller with an odd analog axis arrangement. Could also future-proof somewhat against problems as gamepads, or even just their software, evolves.
- A better way of tracking minigame victories.
- Some items glow on highlight, but are unable to be interacted with. Bugs.
- Revert the dice game back to "if a dice rolls off the board, it's not lost"
- Display more information about the poker game. It was fine in TW1, I want to know the names of the hands that each person got instead of having to memorize what hand equals what

You can just drop the dice if you think the whole rolling-mouse movement is stupid. :p
