It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

-The UI needs fixing, I think thats pretty much unanimous. We should be able to mouse over and compare stats in stores, sort items, keep track of what we have read, etc.

-I want the reticule back so looting isn't a hassle. I don't like having to find the invisible sweet spot whenever I go through a door. This is clumsy and yes it feels very consol-ish.

-allow us to navigate to any menu without having to hit esc. key.

All the good stuff is there and it's a great game so far, but this is clearly a multi-platform title and suffers from the usual issues when this is the case. It simply does not take full advantage of PC control schemes.
remove the auto-target when in mouse mode, but not gamepad.
give us a cross-hair instead

Crosh: People!!!
If you still don't understand THERE IS NO JUNK!!!
LOL, can't believe noone has yet noticed. EVERY item in the game (well, maybe exept for food) can be used for crafting/enchanting/alchemy. 3 lathers and oil make hardened leather, Twines and 4 cloth+diamond dust make robust cloth!
There are no unusable items whatsoever, it's just that not all diagrams you will be able to buy/find.
Also... I was complaining about slow upgrading, but it seems people actually tend to get XP a lot faster than me... How? How do you upgrade so fast that you unlock freaking Riposite 'n' shit before even Kayran?!?!
There are various rings, necklaces and other stuff that are even labeled as Junk in the game.

Bawtzki: There are various rings, necklaces and other stuff that are even labeled as Junk in the game.
Oh... Well, I don't pick them... and they are no items I can recall except for ring and necklaces that would be junk.
Amongst other things, I'd love to see resizable/smaller UI and ability to toggle minimap off (it breaks immersion when I have a personal radar on the screen) in one of the patches.
I'd also like to see the vision-obscuring damage effects removed. I get poisoned, and suddenly I'm swimming in an ocean of green and can't see the surroundings properly. I hate this. Why did they implement such garish effects in an otherwise beautiful game? I don't need to be beat over the head with this information. An icon would do just fine.
- two Ring slots. one for the left hand and one for the right. rings that give good or bad effects.
- two earrings slots. one for the left ear and one for the right. earrings that give good or bad effects.
- one necklace slot. necklaces that give effects
- the ability to craft rings, earrings and necklaces

yes i know that these suggestion are too much but i put these ideas here so maybe they can read it,

You are getting cause and effect mixed up there. Its the ocean of green you are standing in that poisoned you. Not the poison that causes the screen effect.
As I've stated in another thread , I think at the very least potion effects shouldn't drain during a cut scene or when you not specifically controlling Garalt.

Maybe in easy and normal they also won't drain while In a conversation. Been a few times where I got all potioned up to explore a cave or new area only to waste most of the potions time because a random conversation I didn't know was coming lasted almost as long as the potion. Seriously, wtf.

fantastic game overall CDP...great work guys and thanks :D.

a few things id would like to see also.
improved UI. thats been well covered in this thread though so i wont go over it again.

added DX11 support and features. not necessarily to make the game look better (it looks fantastic) but just to take the edge off of some limitations with DX9...especially with LOD distance scaling. tesselation could greatly help in that area for example. it would also help a bit with performance perhaps as it makes beter use of compliant hardware. of course if CDP want to use DX11 to improve visuals also then all the better :D.

i would also like to see a bit more...how should i put it....brute force used for PCs that are capable. (note: these would probably be quite demanding). for example
1) load the entire area for each chapter into memory or load it in as needed and then leave it in memory for future reference or something. or maybe load the inital area and then have the rest loading in the background while the player plays.
loading times, to CDPs credit, are very good in my experience....but if they could be removed completly within each chapter then all the better. interiors and all. balancing inital load times with this would be tricky mind.

2) kinda similar to point one....keep towns people and such like visible even from a distance. a quick example: i was just coming into flotsam and went past the dock area where there were about 10-15 people. i was just in front of the butchers shop when i turned around and the dock area then looked completly deserted for a sec while characters were loaded back in. it would be nice to have them running in the game even if the player cant seem them.

these would need to be extra options mind in the settings menu as they probably would put much more demand on every part of a PC (well..unless CDPs wizards have a few tricks up their sleeves :) ) but they would be nice extras.

anywho thanks again CDP. fantastic game.
Didn't really read through things already suggested, but here's a list of things that I'd like to see. It's possible some of these are in the game and I just haven't figured them out yet.

- Being able to see what Geralt has equipped while trading, and to be able to sell things he has equipped.
- Being able to sort inventory alphabetically
- When selecting items or menu options, change the color of the text instead of changing the size of the text.
- Minimap needs to face in a fixed direction.
- Large map needs to remember the zoom level I previously set.
- Items with long names get cut off in the inventory menu. Make the menu wider.
- Why do I lose control of Geralt when walking through doors? Let me manually walk through them. Sometimes if I'm near a door that's open and Geralt walks through when I don't want him to.
- How about some kind of indicator on the item if Geralt has read a particular book or not, like the first game? I'm forced to just carry every book I find, even if they weigh nothing, because I don't want to buy books I've already read.
- Adjust the distance you can target things, it's too short.
- A way to tab through available targets/objects to interact with.
- Remove the weight of crafting diagrams/formulas. Why do books weigh nothing, but these things all have 0.1 weight.
- Reduce the weight on crafting components. Again why do all the herbs weigh nothing, but the other crafting items weigh significant amounts.
- A way to see the entire description of items without waiting for 10 seconds for it to slowly scroll up.
- Speed up the animation when Geralt uses his medallion to detect things. You are forcing me to use it every 10 seconds, since you don't let me see interactive objects with tab or a game setting, so at least make this instant or faster than it is now.
- Let Geralt push people out of the way if he walks into them for a few seconds. I've actually been trapped in corners by all the stupid children surrounding me.

That's all I can think of for now.. I'm sure I'm forgetting some.

first off... thats why
you have a sword *nudge nudge*
this is also annoying when your allies surround enemies, your allies take FOREVER to kill one guy, i wish you could strike them down in two. how can they be so weak that it takes more then a minute for 5 + of them to kill one lowly guy.. they wont let you squeeze in either.

the same happens when being surrounded by enemies, you are fucked. you have no way out so you are forced to use some cheap way to get yourself out or pray

i never use mods because i like the developers to have the balls to do it themselves

Just chime in ...

I would also love the ability to name my savegames and overwrite or delete them and having a quick load of either the last save or the last quicksave would be great.

Inventory management has always been a big part of RPGs, so not being able to drag and drop items or sort them is a real step back. Maybe the way this game does it is similar to inventory in shooters or something, but I really liked the one in Witcher 1 better than this one.

I can tell what's junk without a tab but all this scrolling is unnecessary.

Oh man, why not bracelets and anklets and tiaras and magical tattoos and mystical fingernail polish and nipple rings (one slot for each nipple) and kneepads and coloured contact lenses (omg different colours for each eye!) and enchanted beads that you can braid into Geralt's hair and codpieces and then you can have a horse or a rideable roach and you can do up her main in plaits and you can paint the saddle! It would be sooo goood!
