GrimTuesday: I'm in the middle of chapter 2 right now, started on release day. I haven't had much time to play, and I didn't do all the sidequests (saving them for another playthrough!). I think Chapter 2 is great, and while I can't say much about 3, most people have said that its not the length of it proper that bothers them, it is the fact that there is no chapter 4.
Cyjack: No, I think it's the length, or lack thereof. The game sort of sets up an expectation of symmetry among the chapters, that doesn't pan out in chapter 3. I was perfectly thrilled with the ending, and would have been perfectly fine with three chapters of the quality of the chapters in the game. But 3 does defy expectations a bit, and this is the offputting thing. It simply takes you by *surprise* with its brevity. Besides, it's not like Act 5? 6? was all that long in the first Witcher Game either. :p
