omgzed: you could probably complete the quest in debug console but that would require knowledge I don't have, for a simpler alternative you can just promote your archers in console n live with fireballs flying at you.
I can live with the fireballs, but don't know how to promote the archer that way.

ETA: Never mind, fixed it by changing to compatibility mode for XP-service pack 3. I still didn't get a reaction when I clicked the towers, but the promotion went through anyway.

Playing K/S/C/A/K, after finishing the Enroth stage. I'm now in the Erathia ("Antargarich" or whatever) and vastly overpowered for the early part of the game (Harmondale castle &c). I levelled up to 77 and have well over two hundred skill points per player character. I'm not sure what to put the points into, though. Any thoughts? (I worked the Cleric up to level 7 Merchant, but other than that have not applied any points ... still has over 200 pts.)
knights in armmaster cleric in light magic and sorc in dark magic, if you actually have the mm6 version of cleric and sorcerer I'd suggest exchanging them asap since they can't reach grandmaster light and dark.

Yes, I have the MM6 version of C and S (the Sorc has both Light & Dark), and I noticed the inability to reach GM Light/Dark is annoying, but not a deal-breaker. At level 77, currently, I would need one pretty strong to consider exchanging. At least, in this test game which is going fairly well. It's something I'll remember for next time, though, when I start setting up my spreadsheets.
think I was about level 90 when I changed my cleric over to the one you can recruit from mm8, maybe the sorc isn't as important but playing without grand master light is annoying and quite a handicap due to it being pretty much the best scaling skill.

In the past few days I decided to install the Merger Mod (15/02/2022) with a solo character in jadam until I retrieved the Korbu remnant, all my current quest, teacher location or potion recipes vanished. Is it Normal? Thanks.

edit: worse, in the Balthazar Lair all house are empty i cant progress anymore in the main quest

I tested playing a character as a dragon in MMMerge 8, It's easy in the beginning but after it become harder and harder.

Many monsters are Immune to fire, and some are immune to the physical attack of the dragon, so i dropped this character.

Now i restarted with MMMerge in the 7 with a solo build Vampire/Monk, at first is very thought especially with "instant death" but after many quick save and quick load, i finished the continent at LVL 118.

Have you drained the Balthazar Lair of water? You will see a cinematic cutscene of minotaurs coming out of the lair and looking outside when you finish it.

If you are worried about the main quest, go look at the Merchant Guild headquarters in Ravenshore. If the minotaur leader is there, you should be able to progress the main quest.

If you are unable to speak to any minotaur, then I think your save is broken unfortunately.
Yeah, I Think is not the first time that this type of thing happened that all my quest log vanish and all quest broken, it's around the quest of korbu, in the Ciclops headers when this bug start.
In my test game (playing K/S/C/A/K), I'm near the end of the MM7 scenario and just trained up from lvl. 77 to lvl. 103. Each player-character has 383-384 skill points. Recommendations how to distribute them?
New problem:

I can only put the wetsuit for the final quest onto the two Knights and the Sorcerer. I get an error message for the Cleric and Archer to the effect that they don't have the skill - yet there is no "wetsuit" skill, including on the three for whom it works.

Any ideas how to fix this? Obviously, the MM7 portion of the game cannot be completed at this stage (unless, of course, I allow the characters to die...).
think ya need leather armor skill for wetsuits, I dunno why but shit happens n luckily every class can learn it so.
