islavin2011: Aargh. Well, alright, it's early enough in the game (my first test-run) that I'm not committed to it, so I'll just start another one.
There are more quests in MM6 that absurdly lowers your reputation for no reason. I recommend using the console to fix it. I can't remember how I did it atm, but it's pretty easy to find if you look for it.

I am, unfortunately, not very proficient with these things. What is a "console" in this context, and how do I find it?

BoshuaJoshua 9 mo. ago wrote this over at reddit:

"It's just the way merge is. You can use this console command to set your reputation back to 0...

press control + F1 to bring up your console.

type:

evt.Set("Reputation", 0)

press control + enter to execute command.

You could also just set your reputation to where it was at before completing the quest. To each his own."

EDIT:
The "console" is simply a built-in program that allows you to write code that interacts with the game. If you press control + F1, you will see a text box that lets you type very specific things that changes the game for you.

I think the command listed above is case sensitive, and the spaces between some characters are also important. Also remember to use control + enter and not just enter when you're done (I initially missed this when I did it in my game)

I've been playing through a test game (K/S/C/A/K) and ran into a quest-related snag. I got the Archer promotion quest & retrieved the Dragon Tower keys. However, when I get the next quest, I cannot adjust the dragon towers; when I click, nothing happens. At least, nothing visible. Has anyone else come across this?

yeah I also noticed this, will see if I'm still able to complete the quest. also it doesn't happen on all maps as far as I'm aware?

Is this the case for all the towers, or just the one(s) you tested?

IIRC 1 or 2 towers cannot and are not supposed to be changed.

I tried all 6.
Try flying. If a tower doesn't shoot fireballs at you, then you did reset it.

so could you still complete the quest ...?
for me it wasn't working in 2 towns, think one was free haven n I could still complete the quest

You said earlier that you got the quest to reset the tower, so I assume that you have completed the quest to get the keys. If I were you, I'd go back and make absolutely sure that the first quest is actually completed.

Also, I'd make sure that the character with the keys in the inventory was the one who tried to deactivate the towers.

You could also throw the keys out and loot them again in case the game doesn't recognize them in the inventory.

All of these are long shots, but if nothing works then I guess your game is bugged.

Tried all of those. I guess I have a bug. Anyone have any idea how to fix, apart from perhaps re-downloading the game?

Are you clicking the button or the keyhole on the towers btw?

Tried the keyhole, the button, and all around them all, and even on other faces.
you could probably complete the quest in debug console but that would require knowledge I don't have, for a simpler alternative you can just promote your archers in console n live with fireballs flying at you.
Isn't it Kriegspire's tower that cannot be reset and does not have to be (because the dragon rider bad guys have wrecked it, though the devs could have done a better job of showing damage) and 6 others that can and must be?
