Stars on the map (for locations you discover in the woods like campsites) disappear if you save, quit, then reload your game.

Also, keys you pick up, is there anyway to look at them? I swear the keys you find in the snow near the general store had numbers on it, but i can't remember what they were.
Thanks for the feedback, we'll surely look into the map issue.

The "key" with numbers on it is actually a pendant, which can be found in the "documents" section in the menu. Other keys don't have numbers on them, so you don't have to worry about them.

styggron: Ok as per another user, instead of waiting infront of the laptop, I just left it for a while and it loaded, so it is just very slow on the loading screen but you need to wait 5-6 minutes and you will get in.

Now my only problem is the controls as I need to use the arrows not WASD :)

Can I ask the dev if rebinding will eventually be put in ? In the meantime please please arrow keys also for WASD equivalent :) and other keys on the right side of the keyboard for us left handers :) Thank you n advance :)

And for the laptop issue, we're working really hard on optimizations, so it might run better in the next few weeks. Even if waiting 5-6 minutes to play the game is long, I'm glad you got to play a little :P

I have the same issue too. Laptop, I7 and Iris something graphic card, W10.
I'll ty too wait longer, but just as far as I remember, I didn't have this issue with the Google Drive version.
EDIT: Not working, stuck at the loading screen.

Anyway, thanks for all, from the little I saw of the game, it is promising !

Malachai: 2 bugs that I've not seen mentioned (I assume they are bugs and not just missing features.)

1) The map is black. I've exited the game and came back but it's the same thing. I feel like I'm missing something obvious though...

2) The Journal is completely empty, all sections, including the page which I presume should have images.

I tried the "Verify File Integrity" thing in Steam to no avail.

16 Gigs RAM

jffiset: A Youtuber ran into that issue, and it was related to the recording software he was using, so he switched to another one. Maybe it's something like that on your side too. If you're not recording your gameplay, let us know and we'll investigate further ;)
When I turned off my recording software and re-loaded the game that fixed it! I'll see if I can use Bandicam instead. The software I was using that caused the problem is Dxtory.

after the 05 update
if i go to the first house on the right with the safe, its no longer possible to open the menu. the screen just blurs. 1-4 to get out.

but nice game :)

I'm getting the same thing with the update, if I hit esc the screen just blurs. Ill try starting a new game instead of using a load from last patch and see if it fixes it.
Okay, confirmed it works if you start a new game. Old saves do not work though.

Well it seems like you found an annoying issue. We are working on a fix, we would recommend going back to the old version for now as it is an unavoidable issue :( (unless you don't grab anything).

We are sending the update in the coming hour, but you won't receive it until the folks at GOG arrive at work (they are in Poland).

I'm on latest update

I encounter some bugs that were not in previous builds :

- My last save was at Lachance's house, when I load it I'm at the general store and my car moved in front of it ... but I'm not back in time, every item is picked up and I have the crowbar in my inventory

- when I go to the doctor house and visit it... all of a sudden screen blurs alot
when I go outside screen is not blurry anymore

- I cannot access the menu anymore from that point

I guess I have to go back to previous build ?(But how do we do that on Steam ?)

I'm recording on OBS if it's of any relevance (and I need my episode recorded for tommorow :p)

1 / in some dialogue ( i play with the french subtitle ) , subtitles do not work and displays "NULL" 3 examples:
- when I discovered the wolf rummaging through the bins outside the garage.
- When I enter the first time in the garage and the electricity cuts
- when I read the instruction to restore the electricity the panels on the fuse

Here are a other bug.

2 / when I enter the first house on the main road, just after the service station (the one with the balençoire and tires) I look at the stove with the ash still lukewarm (the icon with a lighted match appears) I click the view is blurred, and nothing happens. I can move me then, but the image is still blurry.
is it impossible to put other actions as retrieve an object, even display the game menu with "ESC" impossible. the only actions that I could still do was bring up the diary, but he remained as unreadable blurred. open drawers or cupboards, and that's all it seems ...

I'm french and I hope my English is understandable. :-)

The build should be updated on Steam during the night, which should fix some of these issues.

- Are you sure you started a fire at Lachance's house? (I'm sure you did, but just to be safe :P). I'll try to replicate it tomorrow.

- I'll look into it first thing tomorrow.

- Menu is broken in this update, but is fixed in the upcoming one.

I'll report back here once I tried the first 2 issues you encountered ;)

1 /We already knew about those missing subtitles, but are waiting for French voices before fixing everything at once ;)

2 /We learned about this bug a few minutes after releasing this version. The UI breaks as soon as you enter a house and you have documents other than the map and journal. A new version is on the way and should be online tomorrow.

Hi,

If you're talking about the crash report file, you can send it at support@parabole.ca.

If possible, could you include your computer specs with the file (usually, they are in the file, but just in case).

We know that some computers are not powerful enough (yet) to run the game. We're working hard on optimizing the game though, so depending on how old is your computer, you should be able to run it eventually ;)

I tried the doctor house issue you encountered, and it was fine this morning, so I guess it was an issue from yesterday's patch. Today's patch should also have fixed the menu.

Got this issue yesterday as well, and today's version fixes this, so thanks for that!

I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be like that, but the map seems to be blurred if you try to read it while driving. I have to halt the car in order to get my bearings.

I'm not sure whether it's supposed to be like that, but the map seems to be blurred if you try to read it while driving. I have to halt the car in order to get my bearings.
It's not supposed too. We thought we fixed it, but it's broken again :P
