I've been hit with this as well.

GOG, you need to develop your own 100% functional Steam integration if you want people to actually use this product.

Galaxy is not a competitor with Steam, it is a settlement on a Steam landscape. If Galaxy does not work perfectly with Steam, people will move on, and not look back.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me either. No steam no gog in my opinion as most of my games are coming from there. I hope this is solved in a near future. I have checked in other forums and I haven't found any solution yet either.

I am a Huge fan of GOG and Galaxy and have about 2K games. GOG was always my first choice, as I could load or run either my steam or GOG version. Not having the Steam interface working means I now have to use Playnite and do not see the GOG store interface and do not pick up the cheap games or specials. I was buying maybe 1-to-1 GOG and Steam now I seem to be buying 3 steam to every 1 gog. I am sure I am not the only one. playnite is no galaxy, but it lists all my games. If it starts working again, I will switch back in a heartbeat .. But until then steam will get more of my buying.
I am also having this issue. Honestly I was a gog die hard fan boy and always prioritized gog over steam. I loved the gog launcher but in the last year I have noticed a massive decline in quality and i have mostly been back to using steam as a priority.
Its a shame because I thought that the GOG launcher was the future. I think the company is massively going downhill and ironically its timed exactly with their focus on ESG scores which has nothing to do with improving customer experiences and products. This is really telling and honestly i have just lost faith. Hopefully they can turn this around but I will be looking into alternatives really soon if nothing is done about this.
I guess I will start looking into Playnite since many people have mentioned in this thread. If that covers all my requirements then I guess that is the end of gog for me.
Same here. WIthout Steam integration, Galaxy is useless. Playnite is ok, but takes me away from the GOG store and thus GOG's pretty much out-of-sight, out-of-mind for me. If GOG want's to sell games, it really has to have Steam integration
Offline too.
Come on GOG, we love the GOG Galaxy as a unique launcher, but this is not the proper way to keep your customers!
Just got three new games on steam that are also on GOG... just saw them there first, as I do not use Galaxy as my default. They lost about $25 bucks.
Same issue. CDPR, I don't understand the logic of making XBox (!) a supported integration, but not Steam?!? Come on. Galaxy has been out for 2-3 years now. Not having Steam as one of (if not the top) supported integration makes zero sense. People *want* to use Galaxy. Figure it out!
Offline too.
Reinstalled GoG Galaxy, did not help at all. :(
Please solve this.
I love how they say "Unfortunately, the Steam integration plug-in was created by the fan community, not our team, so we are unable to offer support." but they're perfectly happy to have it sitting there in the app, useless.

My GOG usage is about zero at this point. Downloading Playnite now
First I lost connection to Rockstar, and now to Steam. I thought GOG would fix it over time, but nope. I was using Galaxy everyday, but now, it's useless.
Offline here too! :(
This has hit me as well.

krashd: @Gotcha007 Do yourselves a favour - drop Galaxy and put your time to better use by installing a platform where the devs don't leave the community to fix things.
But how long before Steam disables that Playnite as well?

Wookie42: I wrote to gog. They said "Unfortunately, the Steam integration plug-in was created by the fan community, not our team, so we are unable to offer support."

Barleyman: Translation: We are not prepared to pay anything to fix it, but you're welcome to do it on your own for free.
Stg this is their stance. I don't think they have many community moderators either. It's so difficult to reach them and every time their response is sort of like this. Well, it's reached to that point for me where I have no choice but to uninstall gog.galaxy and move on to other, better options. Really loved the interface, they had everything on point. All that they were lacking was quality control :(
Someone clever must know how to fix it and let GoG have teh code..
