Alex_the_gamer: I just download GOG Galaxy 2.0. But, as I read the latest post concern with some issues. Is there anything I need to know about GOG Galaxy 2.0, before I install it?
All you need to know about GOG Galaxy 2.0 in its current state is that it's a pretty raw beta version that has been imposed on all Galaxy users.

If you want to install it, be prepared for numerous issues:
- various problems with the integration of other platforms (Steam, Origin, EGS, consoles, etc.);
- games that you own may not appear your library (for example, I can't get one of my games back for almost two months);
- some games (even games purchased on GOG) may not start from GOG Galaxy.

You can read topics on this forum or take a look at the numerous reports on Mantis for more details.

Oh, and also be prepared for the fact that none of the GOG staff will give you any answers here.

I just finish installing Homeworld Deserts of Kharak on my Windows 10, and I want to start playing the game. When I clicked "Play", it doesn't start up the game. Why?

have you checked Mantis to see how many tickets are closed because they fixed the issue? that's a whole 16 tickets for minor issues like bookmarks and such. not a single fix for most popular issues. do you think gog actually works on these Mantis tickets? I'm starting to doubt it.

Since I can't get my game back for almost two months, and there is still no any reaction from GOG, I also have such doubts.

It's obvious that the problem with the missing games is somwhere on the GOG side (it looks like a database corruption or something like that). There are many similar reports from different users, but the issue is still not fixed.

According to Mantis, I was lucky that I only lost one game. Some people lack two or more games in their libraries, but it seems that GOG doesn't think this is a high priority issue. Users in their libraries don't have the games they own - definitely doesn't sound like something that must be fixed in the first place.
I had a look at the number of owned games, both from the site and from Galaxy, and in the latter the number is inferior, seems like it is missing like 4 games.

Now, it will be difficult to find out what is actually missing...

If you added free goodies to your account (Cyberpunk goodies, The Witcher goodies, two packs of goodies from the spring sale), then these packs may be "missing" entries in your library, because they are not displayed in Galaxy.

If so, then you are lucky. Otherwise, welcome to the club! :D

So I am having a particular issue with the Galaxy 2.0 launcher that I wanted to share and report. I have only recently experienced this issue as never before had I needed to use multiple executables for a single game. In particular I am talking about Rainbow Six: Siege. I recently found out they had another executable for the game that runs on Vulkan rather than OpenGL. When I compared the two I noticed that on Vulkan I saw a net 20 FPS increase so I naturally wanted the Galaxy 2.0 launcher to launch the Vulkan version of the game and not the OpenGL version. To do this I had to first add the Vulkan executable to the Rainbow Six: Siege game page on the Galaxy 2.0 launcher. Adding the other executable to the installation configuration was not an issue, what is an issue the the option for which executable to set as the default for the Galaxy 2.0 launcher to use when firing up the game. Every single time the launcher is closed, i.e. if the window to the launcher is closed out, the default option resets to the original game executable and not the new executable that I want the Galaxy 2.0 launcher to use. I have to go into the settings for the game page and re-click the default option every time I open Galaxy 2.0 to launch the Vulkan executable. I simply wanted to bring this issue to light so that it could be addressed and bring it to the attention of anyone who is having difficulties and how to work around it.

I still didn't found a way to compare lists from the site and Galaxy... I got the site list from the html source of every page, but somehow the number of entries I got differs from the number shown on the site...
I also noted that, in the site, the number I see from the menu that appears if I keep the pointer over my nick, differs from the one I see in the games page...
Anyway, for Galaxy, I tried to get the list from the DB, but it's not totally clear what all those table contains... I can get a list of a lot of games, but it miss like 100/200 games... and I can't find in all those table many games that I clearly see in Galaxy...

If someone has an SQL to get that list, it could be really useful.

There is something I noted that can change the number of games listed in Galaxy, for example "Original War", comes with two different packages, the normal one and the "Legacy" one...
While these are separate and counted as "2" on the site, them are "1" on Galaxy, because them are merged in a single "Original War" page where you can choose what of them to play from a menu.

Will be deleting Galaxy with extreme prejudice. Great at showing all my platforms in one place. However, trying to download/install my GOG version, well, it's locked behind another step as GOG made my Steam library the default. Since this launcher doesn't meet any of my needs with ease, it's gone.
Please fix your custom executables and arguments feature. It's broken again:

https://www.gog.com/forum/general_beta_gog_galaxy_2.0/custom_executables_and_arguements_not_workingagain
The database is still rather poor - it's selective in which major expansions it has, and I've just had one completely vanish - C&C 3: Kane's Wrath, which is available as a separate SKU on both Steam and Origin (and I own both the retail and Steam versions, the Steam one was picked up correctly until today), and now I have 7 extra custom executables in the base game's entry. Who is in charge of tinkering with the database, so I can tell them how to do their job?
I would appreciate having the option to leave notes on games in my library

Just a reminder that Alan Wake's American Nightmare is still missing from my Galaxy library.

More than two months have passed since the problem was discovered. During this time, none of the GOG staff even bothered to somehow react to this problem and try to solve it. Everything that I have received in my address since the middle of May is absolute silence.

How long are you going to ignore me? It's not my fault that your client doesn't import the full list of games that I have on my GOG account, even after a fresh install on a computer where GOG Galaxy has never been installed before.

I'm not interested in any workarounds, I don't want to mess with offline installers. All I want is to finally see my game in my Galaxy library, where it should have been all this time.
I wish the store in the galaxy 2.0 client had a search function and in my library i had two unknown games.
