Two Worlds, Earth 2100s series, Knights and Merchants, and other top Topware classics 60% off

[url=http://www.gog.com/gamecard/jack_orlando_a_cinematic_adventure_dc]Jack Orlando is one of those adventure game characters that are a little bit obscure, but people that had the pleasure of meeting them, remember them very fondly. He's a private investigator that has seen better days, but now is down on his luck and looks for some relief in the whiskey bottle a little too often. Stains on his trademark trench coat suggest that he spent yet another night dozing off in some back alley, too drunk to get home from the bar, too broke to get a cab. But he's one of the good guys. He's actually the one to show some moral fiber in the city that consumes the poor, corrupts the innocent, and spits out the weak. Too bad he ended up in a wrong place at the wrong time and got accused of murder. With only 48 hours to clean his name, Jack has to solve his toughest case yet. Come on, help the guy out. It'll cost you only $2.39 to get the Director's Cut version of his story in our Topware Classics promo.

Or would you rather take a plunge into a fantastic realm quite different than our reality? The magical land you'll be visiting in Two Worlds: Epic edition should easily satisfy all your escapism needs with its vast and lush gameworld, visuals that remain quite impressive even today, and a well-told story that often lets you digress from its main thread. The Epic Edition we offer you, comes bundled with the game's both expansions: Tainted Blood and Curse of Souls. Yours for only $3.59!

Fantasy not really your thing? Well, how about some hard science fiction, then? Earth 2140 Trillogy, Earth 2150 Trillogy, Earth 2160--or the Earth 21-something series, as we like to call it--offer top-notch RTS gameplay in a gritty futuristic setting, at $2.39 each! But, of course, that's not all of the excellent titles you can find 60% off in our Topware Classics Promo this weekend, so head out to the promo page and pick your favorites. The offer lasts until Tuesday, April 2, at 4:59AM GMT.

As usual, below you'll find a new episode of This Week on GOG, a short video guide to recent events, promos, and other happenings on the site. By the way, if you haven't already, you might want to follow the GOG.com channel on Youtube, so you won't miss our shows, specials, and exclusive trailers.

Don't listen to the wankers, Jack Orlando's a gem. That music will never get out of yer heads. Could use the Polish VO though.

gandalf.nho: Nice promo, already have the titles I want.

And regarding next weeks's hint, maybe is Saga: Rage of the Vikings from Cryo?
Damn ninjad by two hours... I'm surprised anyone here has even heard of this game but it does fit the description perfectly...
Here's a Youtube video to justify my content-low "me too".
Gorky 17 is supposed to be somewhat buggy. Is it still worth it?
I had some issues with Gorky 17 on one of my older systems. I haven't had any issues with it since I updated my GPU drivers.

dirtyharry50: Again though, for two bucks I can live with less than perfect.
xd All this debate and you answer everything with one little line of common sense. Shit I've paid a lot more than $2 bucks for total pieces of crap, this should be okay! :D

the_bard: So, 2150 the way to go with the 2100 series?
Any reason not to recommend 2160? It seems like both 2150 and 2160 got favorable user feedback. How are they different from one another? I did read 2160 added aliens race but that's all I noticed.

I just bought it myself but won't get around to it for a while. I figure I'll get at least a couple bucks worth of fun out of messing with it even if it doesn't work out too well and I wind up not finishing it, etc. although I am pretty easy to please unless something really sucks.

There is an Enclave demo readily available just FYI. SOB is taking a long time to download though; I hope they didn't put a throttle on my service again. :(

tinyE: There are places in the U.S. where they speak English but there is NO way you can understand it. I would imagine this has a lot to do with how big the country is. Realizing that most other countrys aren't this size, do you still have problems? I don't mean regions where they speak a totally different language but just have accents so thick it's mind boggling.
Call me an arrogant and ignorant bastard but I always have to chuckle when Americans look for explanations for certain characteristics of their nation. :p I'm no expert in linguistics but AFAIK in most nations in the world, big or small, there's a wide variety of dialects, often so different that they may almost seem like different languages at first and it's rather influenced by historical, cultural and social aspects, rather than a nation's size.
I recommend Enclave and Gorky 17 to anyone still missing them.

I didn't look for an explination. I was just curious. And I wasn't talking about dialects in general but rather some that are so different you can't actually understand what the hell they are saying. And for future reference, and yes I realize you didn't really mean anything by it, but I would appreciate not lumping me in with the stereotypical "self centered world revolves around us naive stupid Amercians." I'm not saying it's an unfair lable, AT ALL, but I pride myself on not being like those assholes. And yes, unfortunately we do have a lot of those assholes over here. In fact I have to have dinner with one tonight, and now I'm all depressed. :(
the enclave demo doesn't seem to work. Big deal, I'm still going to pick it up. :D

First off, I didn't mean to insult you. Not at all (well, aside from teasing you a bit with certain stereotypes about Americans - but seriously, that was just meant to be some friendly teasing). ;p And well, you did ask some questions that I just tried to answer so I don't understand why you're giving me attitude now.

I know you didn't mean to, you did answer the questions, and I didn't mean to come off like I was giving you attitude. If I did, I sincerely apologize.

Seems funny/ironic/purposeful to have a TopWare promo the day(day after, or you could say week) Brenda Romero leaves the industry due to exotic dancers :3
