nijuu: Not sure why they don't for all games which dont come with OST...at least as an option
As mentioned before, GOG has 3 choices.
1) Sell the game at base price without OST. People complain about lack of OST
2) Sell the game at premium price with OST. People that don't care about OSTs have to pay more for the base game, since the OST doesn't add any value to them.
3) Sell the game at base price without OST. Sell OST as extra. People will complain that OST should be included with the game in the base price, and that GOG is greedy.

Which option is the best for the store?

3) is obvious. Im stumped. People surely can see only older classics come with soundtracks and new indies at the most (with a few exceptions) come with sample tracks
Steam sells most OST's separately as DLCs... i rarely see people complain on their forums (not that thats saying much i guess).

Finally the 2nd one here! I've both on Steam but they are worth it to make sure I've a DRM-free, legal versions as well.

Highly recommended! The art style is so awesome, the pace is just right and gameplay is fun and even clever at times.

Check the Omerta's DLC threads. For people who viewed those DLCs as not much content, asking for $5 for those was a disgrace. For you (and many more) a soundtrack is worth quite a lot, for others a soundtrack isn't worth it. So it will be seen as asking extra money for something that should be included in the base game, and then complaining that the soundtrack isn't lossless/flac.

So what would you suggest GOG does?. No one store can be perfect... :/

RaggieRags: The point is that most people interested in this game already own it. This is a very good addition to GOG, but it's a couple of years too late for most of us. Why even put a game in bundles before it's for sale in all the major online stores?
avatar
nijuu: Id say there would be a few BUT only those who were even aware it was in a given bundle. Most is making too much of an assumption
I said "most people interested in this game already own it", not that most people bought it from Humble Bundle. This game came out in 2011 so the best sales are already far behind. Better late than never of course, but I still can't help but wonder why it took so long. Can't be the 'no DRM' policy since it was offered DRM free on HB.
Trine 2 ... Idon't care about ost, but without manual? really? o_O :/

Best option? Soundtrack included in the base price. Failing to do that, no soundtrack. People who want to buy the soundtrack can get it from the artist, people who don't care about the soundtrack don't care either way.

If your complaint is "I want to buy soundtrack from GOG", I don't think I have an option for you.

Im actually wondering why GOG cant include x soundtrack in x game.... or if dev wont agree to it but seems x store can.
Nice games but I already own both. I wasn't able to wait for Trine 2 to be released here and bought it from Steam last year.

In the words of TET "Reasons".
It is possible that the artist retains the rights to sell the soundtrack and negotiations didn't work out with them. The developer may had a limited time deal to sell the soundtrack, and it ran its course. The soundtrack's "value" may be more than GOG is willing to part with.
At this point though, it's just speculation.

Fair enuf. oh well thanks for telling me :)
GOG I cannot thank you enough for this special discount. Thank you. Seriously, I appreciate this. I got the complete Trine series.

I think Trine 2 still has some extra bonuses not included here on GOG. Anyway, I'm sure you're going to have them included here on GOG eventually.

Many thanks!
