When being a master of a dungeon just doesn't cut it.

Overlord + Raising Hell, a fantasy action-adventure game in which you become a revenant lord commanding his mean minions to ravage and conquer the realm, is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

Ooooooh! Now I'm really mad! They shouldn't have done that. Fools! What's the big idea, putting me in that tomb? Yes, I was dead. So what? Like death ever stopped any lord of evil and treachery before. Death is like a brother to me! Well, a second cousin, but we still keep in touch. Did they seriously think I would stay dead? Those maggots, those idiots, I'll rip off their arms and feed them to the crows. Then I'll feed the crows to the wild dogs. Then I'll make dog stew and feed it to those basterds! Oh, yes, my wrath will be terrible, my retribution swift! Minions! Minions!!! Minions!!!!! Gather, my faithful beasties. The time has come. We go to war. Ha! Haha!!! Hahahaahhahaah!!!!!

Overlord + Raising Hell presents you with a whole fantasy realm ready for plucking. In this action-adventure title you become an evil (or, optionally, really evil--the choice is your's) revenant lord that plans to take over the kingdom by force and take revenge on the corrupt heroes who ruled it in his absence. He's accompanied by a host of vile gremlin-like minions that blindly follow his command. That adds another layer of gameplay in the lines of simple real-time strategy. The GOG.com edition comes with the Raising Hell expansion for maximum impact.

You can practice being evil by stealing candy from some babies, selling it to diabetics, being sued, winning the case, getting amends for being traumatized by the legal system, and then spending it all ($9.99 that is) on Overlord + Raising Hell on GOG.com!
Looks kind of like Pikmin if it took place in hell.
Wow. I admire your digging abilities.

Accatone: No, no, this is not Overlord neither! This is Overlord! :)

Erich_Zann: Hey, I never played this one, although it was hyped to high heavens by my choice gaming magazine back in the day. Is it any good ?

Anyway, GOG has made a mistake. Please release the right Overlord nao !
If you like flight sims, you can't go wrong with Rowan Software's games!

Btw, I looked at the game entry of Overlord at Mobygames again, and guess what? I myself had contributed the game entry 13 years ago (including the White label cover arts)!! Is time flying or what?! :)

Or Magic.

drpaulthetall: You know why I support GOG.com?

Because you don't need a stupid client or inetrnet connection like with steam to start the game. And its DRM free :) Play it when and where you like it. So I would much rather buy it here then anywhere else where or DRM is part of the deal or a stupid client.
Sure i can understand that but that's not the main reason for me to come here (and i don't hate steam like many others, but I dón't like their regular prices), so again for me personally not interesting to see overlord here. It's a good game and if DRM is that important then yes this is good for others not so much.

Lol, I didn't scroll down. My usual tactics are checking first 2 rows in New & Coming and Sales :). I chose the magic, though.

Well, the Pikmin part is spot-on because the gameplay is almost identical. Not really hell but fairy tale/fantasy satire so to speak.

I only was able to play a little bit of this one a few years back, and I had a great time with it, so I'll definitely pick this up. I should be able to run this beautifully on my new lappie. :)
It's a good game with a lot of humor and not an everyday gameplay.
Nice addition for the catalogue.

JMich: And I can't find the thread for the second release (Omerta DLC). Is it because there isn't one or because they have hidden it? Hm, must go deeper.
We didn't make a release thread for the most recent DLC. :)

xxxIndyxxx: It's a fun game but i must agree this release in an uninteresting one. It's widely available for cheap at a lot of places and you could have probably bought it on steam for a dollar in one of their deals so...

inc09nito: Quite contrary. It is very interesting release, because it's DRM-free and I think many people come to GOG for that reason.

Edit:
I'd rather pay 10$ for drm-free than 1$ for Steam version any day
Nobody is saying that the game shouldn't be released on GOG, but this was advertised as a classic. And it's not. It might be a great game and I will try it, but it is not a classic.

Since you are here (Quick! Grab him!), is this the game hinted as the classic?

Wait, what ? Is this supposed to be the "inhuman resources management" game ?
That would be stretching the definition of "classic" quite a bit.
