When being a master of a dungeon just doesn't cut it.

Overlord + Raising Hell, a fantasy action-adventure game in which you become a revenant lord commanding his mean minions to ravage and conquer the realm, is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

Ooooooh! Now I'm really mad! They shouldn't have done that. Fools! What's the big idea, putting me in that tomb? Yes, I was dead. So what? Like death ever stopped any lord of evil and treachery before. Death is like a brother to me! Well, a second cousin, but we still keep in touch. Did they seriously think I would stay dead? Those maggots, those idiots, I'll rip off their arms and feed them to the crows. Then I'll feed the crows to the wild dogs. Then I'll make dog stew and feed it to those basterds! Oh, yes, my wrath will be terrible, my retribution swift! Minions! Minions!!! Minions!!!!! Gather, my faithful beasties. The time has come. We go to war. Ha! Haha!!! Hahahaahhahaah!!!!!

Overlord + Raising Hell presents you with a whole fantasy realm ready for plucking. In this action-adventure title you become an evil (or, optionally, really evil--the choice is your's) revenant lord that plans to take over the kingdom by force and take revenge on the corrupt heroes who ruled it in his absence. He's accompanied by a host of vile gremlin-like minions that blindly follow his command. That adds another layer of gameplay in the lines of simple real-time strategy. The GOG.com edition comes with the Raising Hell expansion for maximum impact.

You can practice being evil by stealing candy from some babies, selling it to diabetics, being sued, winning the case, getting amends for being traumatized by the legal system, and then spending it all ($9.99 that is) on Overlord + Raising Hell on GOG.com!

JMich: Dungeon Keeper wannabe? But is this the classic?
Not really.
Its kinda like a first person game where you can hack and slash and at the same time control some minnions.
Pretty fun game actually, at least i liked it.
If i were to compare it to something i guess the closest thing woud be Fable but with minnion control.

Already have it on Steam so wont be buying it here.
I do recomend it to others if you like that sort of gameplay though.

Edit : The humor alone is enough to be buying this game to be honest.
If you dont laugh at least once during this game there is something wrong with your funny bone.

Yes, saw that I confused it with Dungeons The Dark Lord. But I'm not editting the first post.
Thank you for correcting me though :)
Awesome!

I could never find a way to get my hands on Raising Hell.

MadalinStroe: Nobody is saying that the game shouldn't be released on GOG, but this was advertised as a classic. And it's not. It might be a great game and I will try it, but it is not a classic.

inc09nito: I guess whining never gets old here...
Please imagine the following scenario:
I was eagerly awaiting for Tuesday to come so that I may see on TV the next episode of Babylon 5, not because I hadn't seen it three times before but because it brightens my day to be reminded by that period of my childhood when I watched it for the very first time. The hour finally comes an episode of Firefly starts.
Don't get me wrong Firefly is a good show and I understand that some people that grew up with it might call it the best science fiction show EVAR, but today I needed my Babylon 5.

Do you still consider that whining?
.....yes?.....okay.....
I already own it on Steam but I'll buy it here any day.
Thanks GOG!
Still waiting for Eschalon Book I & II. Not even the dev knows when they're releasing them lol.

Well I for one do to be fair, I mean it's not like I have more important things in life than Babylon 5 :-P However, that would be television lying to you. GOG has never said what are they going to release - and it has been made clear numerous times that what it takes for GOG to consider something 'old' is about 4 years.

Also if i migth add (Sorry for butting in)
But what is classic migth be a personal opinion.
Some Games migth be classic for others and some migth not.
People that grew up in the Atari days migth consider those games classic and the rest modern
People that grew up with Amiga migth consider those game as classic and some dont, and, so forth, etc.
This is a classic in my book, and one of the few instabuy games on my list. If I remember correctly...
Crusader No Remorse
Crusader No Regret
Syndicate
Warlords Battlecry 1 2 3
System Shock 2
Overlord + Raising Hell

Four years old games can be cataloged as old games and possibly CLASSICS?
Okay... I'm going to need some proof of that because at this time my bullshit sense is tingling.

You're going to need a proof of what constitutes as 'old'? Are you serious?

Here you are. Released June 2, 2010, back when GOG was Good Old Games. Does this mean they considered it a classic?
