When being a master of a dungeon just doesn't cut it.

Overlord + Raising Hell, a fantasy action-adventure game in which you become a revenant lord commanding his mean minions to ravage and conquer the realm, is available on GOG.com, for only $9.99.

Ooooooh! Now I'm really mad! They shouldn't have done that. Fools! What's the big idea, putting me in that tomb? Yes, I was dead. So what? Like death ever stopped any lord of evil and treachery before. Death is like a brother to me! Well, a second cousin, but we still keep in touch. Did they seriously think I would stay dead? Those maggots, those idiots, I'll rip off their arms and feed them to the crows. Then I'll feed the crows to the wild dogs. Then I'll make dog stew and feed it to those basterds! Oh, yes, my wrath will be terrible, my retribution swift! Minions! Minions!!! Minions!!!!! Gather, my faithful beasties. The time has come. We go to war. Ha! Haha!!! Hahahaahhahaah!!!!!

Overlord + Raising Hell presents you with a whole fantasy realm ready for plucking. In this action-adventure title you become an evil (or, optionally, really evil--the choice is your's) revenant lord that plans to take over the kingdom by force and take revenge on the corrupt heroes who ruled it in his absence. He's accompanied by a host of vile gremlin-like minions that blindly follow his command. That adds another layer of gameplay in the lines of simple real-time strategy. The GOG.com edition comes with the Raising Hell expansion for maximum impact.

You can practice being evil by stealing candy from some babies, selling it to diabetics, being sued, winning the case, getting amends for being traumatized by the legal system, and then spending it all ($9.99 that is) on Overlord + Raising Hell on GOG.com!

TheEnigmaticT: We didn't make a release thread for the most recent DLC. :)

JMich: Since you are here (Quick! Grab him!), is this the game hinted as the classic?

It is the classic.

I hate to break it to you all, but 2007 was 6 years ago. :P

You're just parroting what I said! I demand you pay me 100 000 bucks for using my copyrighted material!

Alas, you forgot to include DRM on the comment.

Dirty ($100000) money or Clean ($$100000) money?

xxxIndyxxx: It's a fun game but i must agree this release in an uninteresting one. It's widely available for cheap at a lot of places and you could have probably bought it on steam for a dollar in one of their deals so...
avatar
inc09nito: Quite contrary. It is very interesting release, because it's DRM-free and I think many people come to GOG for that reason.

Edit:
I'd rather pay 10$ for drm-free than 1$ for Steam version any day
Plus, on Steam, the game plus the expansion cost like, what, 4 bucks more? Yeah, rather have the GOG version.

JMich: And I can't find the thread for the second release (Omerta DLC). Is it because there isn't one or because they have hidden it? Hm, must go deeper.

A wise choice. ;-)
Great game, it was pretty hilarious that your minions had to pee after drinking beer. :D
Seems this is the hinted release, huh? Hardly a classic, if you asked me. I don't speak about game's age, but about how it was received. (good game nobody actually played when it was released)

but it's a cool game, glad it's here and hope we will not have to wait 2 years for the sequel?

Just like Fragile Allegiance :-P
Woot! Fun game! I already have it but still it's nice to see it here.

Wasn't there something about still not pricing classics above $9.99 said even recently? Because HOMM V and RCT 3 Platinum are 2006, that was 7 years ago! :)

Till now we kind of assumed they weren't classics because of their age but now ... :p

As for Overlord. It's apparently a good game. I couldn't really get into it but it was too much direct control for my taste, still seemed fairly well done. Certainly can't argue with the price, at best a 75% off on Steam will match a future 50% sale on GOG at the current price points, so no reason not to pick it up right here right now.

Edit: My bad, Overlord Complete pack on Steam includes Overlord 2 as well. Still, if you're only interested in 1 there's really very little difference.

And Sacrifice. And Giants: Citizen Kabuto. And Grim Fandango, come to think of it.

TheEnigmaticT: *snip*
Since you're here anyway, a comment:

It might be a good idea to mention on the game card of Don't Starve that the game is still in development. It's released yes, and you can play it, but they're continuously adding new stuff to it.

*sigh* My PC can't run it...

Seeing as you can't buy it yet here, nor is there a release thread, I don't see that as a problem currently.
