keeveek: Why not 3.99 ?
Because this pack has more gameplay than a CoD game :)
Were there no manuals for these titles? I remember some games from then where the manual was needed to give the story and background.

Somehow, I don't see this being a bestseller at this price point, regardless of how much content it has :P But somebody already explained me - the same price is on the devs site.
Are these actually all fun fun fun or fun in a nostaligia sense ie 'Wolfenstein 3D' where you install it, play it, think "Hey, thisis great!", and then five minutes later realize you are bored out of your mind? Not that it really matters; when my ship comes in I'll likely snag them anyway. :D

So basically you play the part of "Tim the Enchanter"?

There's much more monster variety than in W3D within the games and between the games. The only things you're definitely stuck with are the weapons and the final boss, who gets recycled repeatedly.

This reminds me of, hell it might be the same game, of a FPS from about the same time where you were in I think a house and you had a wand. I always thought it was Hugo but that was a point/click adventure and the one I'm thinking of was for sure a shooter. I was drinking heavily at the time so I might have imagined it.

No but thanks, and don't worry about it. I'd feel like shit if I knew someone was waisting their good time actually trying to find this on my behalf. :)

That definitely sounds familiar, now I've gotta look that up. I recall at least 2 titles like that, one might've been the aforementioned Ken's Labyrinth, but I'm not sure.
Edit: Aha! I was thinking of Nitemare 3-D:

Considering this is actually a 5-game bundle, I'm okay with the 5.99 personally. I think 3.99 would be better suited for some of the single-game Apogee platformers.

But at least GOG is heading towards a 3.99, which is probably a good thing given that even dotEmu has a 2.99. And, as always, one can wait for sales where stuff is even cheaper.

"Now it's freeware due to the fact that Epic (Mega)Games no longer sells its older titles." Sounds more like attempting to justify "abandonware" unless it really is legally freeware. (Probably a good thing it's illegally there to at least preserve it.)

In any case, I'm bewildered that Epic apparently hasn't let GOG re-release Jazz 1 & 2. WTFcharles.

You and me, brother.

And Jill of the Jungle. And Zone 66. And Fire Fight. And One Must Fall 2097 (I know it's freeware, but still the CD version with soundtrack would be a great addition to GOG).

And yes, at last, the forgotten gem that is Catacomb series! Pre-Wolfenstein corridor shooter goodness.
Cooool... I actually played the shareware version of Catacomb Abyss waaaay back, acquired on a CD containing a large number of shareware versions bundled together. (Funny fact: the bundle was boasting it had 3001 MBs of content, and it seemed like an enormous amount!)
It was an insta-buy for me.
